The July update of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is finally live, let's find out together with this guide how to get the Mermaid set directly from Pasqualo's fins
Summer has arrived, even in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, with the only insignificant difference that at least our avatars don't sweat their souls. The update of July 3 brought many nice news in Nintendo's latest effort, news of which we have already talked to you in a specific article. One of the news that all fans and gamers in general were waiting for was a present in New Leaf, but not yet arrived in New Horizons. At least until July 3rd. Yes, now you can swim in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Being able to swim not only gives a new sense of peace and freedom, but also unlocks the possibility of obtaining many different new sea creatures to be able to donate to Blatero at the museum. There is also a new recurring character who, if you follow the steps that we will dictate to you in this guide, will be able to give you the complete Siren Set. Let's talk about Pasqualo!
Pascal or Pasqualo?
Before starting this guide to Pasqualo and how to get the Siren Set in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, we remind you that here on Holygamerz you can find the review of the latest Nintendo effort. You can also find a long series of guides on the title, for example how to build stairs to climb to the top, how to jump and travel in time, how to plant star trees, how to make a bunch of stars with turnips, our guide to colors of the various balloons, how to use shooting stars and much, much more. Also, you can find our guide to fish and insects available starting from the month of July, and to what Florindo and Volpolo sell. Let's begin!
Let's learn to swim - Animal Crossing: New Horizons, guide to Pasqualo and the Sirena set
First of all, how do you swim? To swim you need to buy a wetsuit from Mirco and Marco's shop for 3000 stars, or redeem one via Nook Miles at the Nook terminal. The latter, however, will always arrive the next day. From Mirco and Marco you can also buy a diving mask, not compulsory for diving, but which certainly completes the picture and will make you even more fascinating. Once purchased, you will have to open the pockets to equip it. You can then approach a beach or dive off a rock and finally savor the summer air of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Once immersed in the water, swimming with the A key, you will notice around your sea (appropriately fenced at a safe distance) some water bubbles that rise from the bottom. If you reach them and press the Y button to dive, your avatar will pick up a sea creature. A guide will come shortly with the complete list of marine creatures that can be found, but for now we would like to focus on two of these in particular. The scallop and the pearl.
Scallop and Pearl - Animal Crossing: New Horizons, guide to Pasqualo and the Sirena set
If you pick a scallop there is a chance (for now it seems only once a day) that the otter Pasqualo will appear, which seems to be damned fond of these molluscs. Pasqualo will ask you, if you agree, to swap the Scallop you just captured with a DIY Project from the Siren Set, another of the new features of the July update. To craft the items belonging to this set, you will also need the aforementioned Pearls.
Pearls are classified among the Sea Creatures and are very difficult to find. You will therefore have to hunt for hours and hours on the seabed to collect a fair amount, or you can decide to exchange some Scallops with Pasqualo to get some in exchange. For now, we repeat, it seems that the meetings with Pasqualo are set at one a day. As with all achievements in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, therefore, the Mermaid Set will be slow, but steady. If you don't have the patience to keep up with the pace set by Nintendo, you can always use Time Travel.
