In Death Stranding each package is important, however there is one in particular that could create many problems if treated too lightly. It requires in fact a special measure suggested by a specific character, in order to be able to unlock the only delivery destination for such an item.
Before continuing to read this guide, we want to emphasize that the following is in relation to the events of Episode 3 so, unless you reach the plot point in question, it is best to postpone the reading until you actually need it. Spoiler alert, proceed at your own risk and dangerous.
Getting rid of the Bomb in Episode 3
At some point in the story you will be asked to go to Lake Knot City to accept an order that will allow you to connect South Knot City. Everything will proceed normally until the delivery system gives you an error and a mysterious delivery boy arrives to tell you that there is a very fragile package to be delivered to Fragile. By understanding who he is by his voice and gestures, you will confirm your suspicions when you discover that the package received is in fact a thermonuclear device.
The bomb case it will glow red in the Bases and if she moves away from Sam the timer will detonate her. Of course, even reaching South Knot City with the bomb on your shoulder, it will activate its nuclear potential as soon as you enter the urban safe zone.
What to do? The package itself suggests that you have Fragile look at the bomb, but if you enter the Private Room in Lake Knot City and try to call her you will be told that the Beach is inaccessible and that Fragile is located at the Distribution Center south of Lake Knot City. So get a long-distance motorcycle or truck ready and head to the outpost where you will find the woman always waiting for you in the Private Room. After a short cutscene you will find that you only have 20 minutes to get rid of the bomb and detonate it safely.
The only way to avoid a catastrophe is to throw the bomb into a lake full of tar a south of the Distribution Center and which will be reported to you by the assignment itself. Having a vehicle in this case it will make a huge difference in your delivery and with a good dose of luck you will be able to keep it until the end of the assignment. The only real obstacle is represented by the rough area near the Distribution Center, which you will necessarily have to overcome by trying an off-road approach.

If you are using a truck, you can also take the actual order to connect South Knot City with you, thus allowing you to leave from the tar lake to go directly to the city. Finally, the bomb can be destroyed simply approaching the shore, putting the crate in Sam's right hand (the one he throws the furthest) to press Square and then release R2 to throw the bomb away in the middle of the lake. Once you have done and witnessed one of the most touching scenes of Death Stranding, you can proceed to South Knot in complete safety.
