EA Sports FC 24 officially arrives today in stores all over the world, but thanks to the existence of early access provided by the Ultimate Edition, the season of the new football game from the Canadian company has already started a few days ago, while hundreds of thousands of players have begun to explore the news of this year's edition, which we told you in the review of EA Sports FC 24. In time for the launch and with the aim of helping you make the most of one of the main innovations of Ultimate Team, we decided to compose this Evolutions guide to put in black and white everything you need to know about this functionality.

What are Evolutions
The absolute protagonists of the innovations that this year's edition brought with it are the Evolutions they are a new tool available to all players, capable of guaranteeing unprecedented freedom in the process of building an Ultimate Team squad. In the past, all the cards were present in the EA Sports database with predefined versions, impossible to customize, and the community necessarily had to submit to the decisions of the developers, who independently chose when and whether to publish new versions of a specific player. In EA Sports FC 24, coaches will be able to modify their Ultimate Team cards through Evolutions, improving their attributes with permanent upgrades that can be unlocked simply by playing a match, through simple gameplay challenges.
Every Evolution has gods requirements quite stringent and a good part of the player's work will be to identify the card most suitable for each of them, even if by reaching the "Club" screen in the main menu of Ultimate Team and the subsequent "Evolutions" section, each growth process it is inserted with great clarity and also allows you to have a preview of the progress that our footballer will accumulate with each challenge overcome. It must be said that, at least at present, the Evolutions do not allow you to transform a "fodder" card (i.e. only good for a few SCRs) into a real champion, however those available at the moment prove to be invaluable for improving the statistics of those low budget players who have a low overall value, but who can prove decisive on the pitch in this preliminary phase of Ultimate Team.
In the next paragraph we will describe them one by one, but before throwing any card into an Evolution process, we strongly advise you to keep in mind the three important constraints that govern this new Ultimate Team option:
- Each Evolution has a time limit and can only be completed once.
- Once evolved, a card can no longer be sold on the market. It can be used for a Squad Creation Challenge, but only once Evolution is complete.
- Once begun, the process of Evolution cannot be reversed or canceled.
All Evolutions available
The Evolutions all have a time limit and some of them will probably be replaced by new growth processes within a few weeks, but we thought of including all those currently available in the game, while in the next paragraph we will comment on them trying to identify how they can be used to the best and the most suitable cards for each of them. Here are the 6 Evolutions accessible at this time:
Founder Evolution, ends in 79 days

The best players to evolve
Founder evolution
This Evolution is the most interesting of the free ones, given that it has the potential to improve your statistics with targeted interventions reference tip, the one that will accompany you in the first Rivals and Champions matches of the new season. The requirements are not very binding, we are talking about an attacker with a maximum rating of 83, but the fact of being able to choose a card with a Speed of 91 and a Body of 85 makes the small upgrades that Evolution guarantees extraordinarily precious, such as the +3 to Speed, the +3 to Shooting and, above all, the additional star to the Weak Foot.
Recommended Premier League players: Darwin Nunez (82 > 84), Kai Havertz (82 > 84), Arnaut Danjuma (81 > 83).
Recommended Serie A players: Dušan Vlahović (83 > 85), Boulaye Dia (82 > 84), Duván Zapata (81 > 83).
Recommended Ligue 1 players: Alexandre Lacazette (83 > 85), Jonathan David (81 > 83).
Recommended LaLiga players: Alvaro Morata (83 > 85), Gerard Moreno (83 > 85).

Inexhaustible winger
The only paid Evolution, Inexhaustible Winger, is undoubtedly the most effective, considering the heavy bonuses it grants to many of the statistics that are crucial for an attacking winger. On average, through its many upgrades, Evolution guarantees a very solid +6 to the rating of a card, but due to its particular requirements (such as the 79 overall maximum) there are very few players for whom it is worth spending the fifty thousand credits needed to purchase it. Given this figure, the advanced wing is often not up to the standards of the others in circulation, so our advice is to consider doing it only if you have a lot of credits saved up and if you are in possession of Ansu Fati, on which the challenge seems tailor-made.
Recommended Premier League players: Ansu Fati (78 > 84), Ivan Perišić (79 > 85).
Recommended Serie A players: Jesper Karlsson (77 > 83).
Fast guardian
Do you have a defender with good defensive skills, but with Speed values that make him simply impossible to deploy in front of the goalkeeper? Evolution Fast guardian promises to give a tasty +15 to a defender's running skills, along with a decent package of upgrades that affect passing, defense, and even physique. In terms of overall we are talking about a progress of just two points, but we assure you that Evolution alone can transform a slow frog into a rapid defensive prince.

Recommended Serie A players: Martínez Quarta (77 > 79), Danilo D'Ambrosio (77 > 79).
Recommended Ligue 1 players: Samuel Umtiti (79 > 81).

We welcome you to the evolutions
This evolution has the sole purpose of allowing you to start experimenting with the new feature, given that in the face of very broad requirements (no constraints on the role, high statistics) it offers in exchange a minimal improvement, embodied by a simple +1 to the values of Physique, Passing, Pace and Dribbling. Precisely for this reason there are no cards more or less suitable for Evolution, which is why we recommend using it with one of the players in your squad, just to familiarize yourself with how it works. Absorbing the mechanics of Evolutions first hand will prove very useful later on.
Golden Update Pt.1 & Pt.2
This extremely suggestive pair of Evolutions has the sole purpose of making a game absolutely playable bronze footballer, one of those that are usually discarded in some cheap Squad Creation Challenge. By completing them in combination, the rating of the selected bronze card can take off, reaching values well above 80, carving out an exceptional place in almost all early season squads. The category of bronze players is boundless, so we don't have any particular advice on the matter, but we recommend choosing an athlete who already has a good speed value, given that the entire evolution process guarantees a minimum upgrade to this statistic.
