FIFA 22 is finally available for football fans from all over the world. This year in FIFA 22 EA wanted to rock the meta with new lineups, custom tactics and player instructions, but there are things that never change. Like every year, FUT proves to be the main mode and there are already numerous special cards dedicated to the players in the most fit of the moment. Among all, we already find from the first bars OTW. To clarify your ideas on how they work, today we want to explain to you what are OTW cards and how they work in FIFA 22 FUT.
OTW? What are we talking about exactly?
Let's start by specifying that the abbreviation OTW stands for Ones To Watch. Already present in the old chapters of the series, the Ones To Watch cards are nothing more than special papers like many others among those proposed by EA. OTW players are special “dynamic” items designed to celebrate the hottest market hits of the last market session. Among the OTWs this year we count numerous players such as Lukaku, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wijnaldum, Hakimi e tanti altri.
How OTW cards work - FIFA 22: what are the OTWs of FUT and how they work
As anticipated, the Ones To Watch cards are dynamic cards dedicated to the most important market hits of the window just ended. When a top player or a promising player changes clubs, he is very likely that gets one of the new FIFA 22 OTW cards. In that case, a purple version of that player comes out with the same values as the standard card, but who will get (if deserved) upgrades over the course of the season. The trend of the parameters of these cards is closely related to performance both of that specific player and of the club in which he plays. Typically, to see an OTW card increase overall and value, you will have to wait week after week for good performance.
In case the player obtains Team Of The Week cards or falls within the Man of the Match of the day, the OTW card will get +1. As anticipated, however, there is also another way through which the card can receive +1 in form, that is when the belonging team wins five of the ten games played after October 1, 2021. In this case, the OTW player does not even need to take the field.
