Amazon Prime Video is among the most popular streaming services. As such, it offers a number of different features and settings that allow you to customize your viewing experience. Among other things, you can easily turn subtitles (CC) on and off to get subtitles for your favorite movie or series.
Additionally, Amazon Prime Video gives you the ability to change the subtitle style and font size. However, these settings may be slightly different depending on the TV or other devices used for Prime video. Let's take a closer look.

How to change subtitles on Amazon Prime Video in the Android app

SMART TV SETTINGS
Setting up CC on your Amazon account is pretty straightforward, but it might not work for some users. If such a problem occurs, the Smart TV settings are the first line of defense.
Most major brands like Sony, LG and Panasonic offer quick CC access via remote control. Next, find the CC button on the remote and press it to bring up the subtitles on the screen. If that doesn't work, you will need to access the Smart TV settings.

APPLE TV
Select the huge gear icon on Apple TV to access Settings and access the General menu at the top of the screen. Choose Accessibility under General, then Subtitles and Subtitles.
Click Style to choose one of the subtitle presets. Of course, you can change them according to your preferences. Just like Amazon Prime Video's native settings, you can increase the text size, change the texture, and change the background.
SOME NOTES
If you need to zoom in on subtitles, the Large Text preset on Apple TV should work just fine. In fact, the font in the preset is much larger than the default font on Amazon Prime Video. When you enter the Subtitle and Subtitle menu, make sure CC is turned on.
TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
If you have problems with subtitles, the first thing to do is to check the compatibility of the device. Fortunately, most iOS, Android, and Windows devices support subtitles, and the same goes for game consoles.
Next, you should check if the video you are playing actually has subtitles available. If everything went well but there are no subtitles yet, restart your device, play the video again and try to re-enable the subtitles.
The film I want to watch is in a language I don't speak
Netflix is always adding new foreign movies and TV shows, and you may find a show that looks great but isn't in a language you understand. If so, there are two basic options available. You can check if it is available in your language or check the subtitles.
It is worth mentioning that many programs do not include options for multiple languages, and this largely depends on who produced and created it. Likewise, not all programs have access to subtitles, and in some cases, subtitles may not be great. Typically, you'll be able to find subtitles or options in multiple languages, but it's not consistent across the platform.
- Open the program you want to watch.
- Click on the options (represented as a dialog box with the writing inside).
- Choose the alternate language or subtitles you want to hear.
- Resume your schedule.
How to find movies in the language you want to watch
Not everyone just wants to watch movies or TV shows in one language, and Netflix has pushed to include more non-English programming on their platform. For example, if you are looking for programming in a specific language such as Spanish, Korean or Hindi, Netflix has a search function that allows you to find shows in your preferred language.
This means that you can find the foreign language movie you want to watch by doing the appropriate search.
For example, if you want to find the latest Korean drama, you can search for a Korean language drama. The important part of research is to use the phrase "language X". So "Spanish language", "Korean language", "German language", etc.
If you search without using "language", you will not be limited to programming spoken in that language. By including a genre like Drama, Horror or Action you can further refine your search results.
