Instagram is a fantastic platform to follow artists, influencers, musicians and your friends. But from time to time, our opinions change and we may want to change the content we have double-tapped on previously.
Fortunately, Instagram provides a useful way to find posts you liked and bookmarked. Using these features, you can keep track of what interests you now, along with your tastes in the past.

Liked and saved posts on Instagram: what's the difference
On Instagram, you can “like” a post if you find it useful and to show appreciation for the poster. It could be an amazing work of art, a place you'd like to add to your travel wish list, a lavish meal, or anything else you find interesting.
However, you can like an Instagram post and not necessarily save it. Likewise, you can save a post without "likes". Either way, Instagram tracks your actions. Both the “like” and bookmarking features come in handy later, as you can see which posts you've liked in the past or which posts you've saved to your account.
To keep track of your favorite and saved posts, Instagram offers you a way to see them by digging into different sections of your account. But remember: you can't see posts that were subsequently deleted from a poster after you like or bookmark them.
How to see posts you've previously liked on Instagram
By default, Instagram saves all the posts you liked to your account. Here's how to check every Instagram post you've liked recently:
- On Android and iOS, go to your Instagram profile and tap the three points, also known as the hamburger menu.
- Toccata Settings from the pop-up menu that appears.
- Select Account and go to Posts you liked . Here, you can view your favorite posts in a grid-style view (default) or switch to a timeline-like view for a smoother scrolling experience.
However, Instagram won't show you all the posts you've liked from the start. At the time of writing, you can only see 300 of the most recent posts that you liked.
Another limitation is that there is no built-in way to see the posts you liked on Instagram via desktop.
How to see your saved posts on Instagram
Instagram's save feature allows you to keep interesting posts and videos for later reference. But where can you find these posts if you want to revisit them? That's how:
- Toccata the hamburger menu .
- Select Saved from the pop-up menu that appears. This will take you directly to the posts you have privately saved on your account.
Thankfully, there is no limit to the number of saved posts you can see. However, similar to “like” posts, you can't see your Instagram photos saved via desktop.
