Anyone who has visited at least one cave in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will undoubtedly have encountered a Toad: these large luminescent toads love to live in the darkest and most humid places of Hyrule, and as soon as Link approaches they start hopping left and right, shooting a few handfuls of bubbles at him. By eliminating a Toad - often a single well-placed arrow to the face is enough - these creatures drop a Toad Emblem, a mysterious reward that you initially won't know what to do with.
In reality, Toads function very similarly to the Skultullas introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. They are practically collectibles which, if taken to the right place, allow you to obtain a series of rewards that are impossible to obtain in other ways. In this guide of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom we have collected everything you need to know about the Toads, on the emblems and on the mission that characterizes them.
Here, however, you will find the index of our Tears of the Kingdom guide.
Who to bring the Toad Emblems and rewards to
Not far from the Woodland Stall, immediately south of the great Hyrule Forest - instead north-east of Guardia Fort - there is a small pond, whose exact position is shown in the image above. Reaching this place you will immediately notice a strange hot air balloon sitting on the edge of the lake; in case you can't locate it you can refer to the image below, in any case you have to reach it and talk to the strange individual sitting next to it.
At this point you will meet the two strange brothers protagonists of this particular mission: they will start arguing and ask you to show them a Toad Emblem. If you have one in your inventory, give it to him without hesitation, after which one of the brothers will move to Daccapo Village - in the Akkala Plateau to the east - while the other will go in search of Toads. Go immediately to Daccapo Village: here you will find the first brother in the square, and he will activate a further secondary mission linked to all types of monsters that populate Hyrule; what interests you, however, is that this individual he will always give you details about his brother's whereabouts. As soon as you have discovered where he will spend the night with the hot air balloon, go there to meet him again, and it will be at that point that you will finally be able to sell all the Emblems you have collected. Here you are the list in order of rewards that we have discovered so far:

How to find Toads
Every cave and well in Tears of the Kingdom could potentially house a Toad: in the image above you can see a cave marked with the classic completion symbol, which means that the Toad inside has been knocked down. But how do you quickly track down toads? The answer is very simple: at the top of Mount Satori - also indicated in the image above - there is a detail Cherry Blossom.
The cherry blossom trees are scattered throughout the regions of the map: by offering an apple or any fruit in the small basket at the foot of the tree, a mystical creature will appear and point you to the map all Toad locations in the area. All you have to do is reach the large beams of light that emerge from the ground to locate the hiding places of the Toads! Be prepared though, because they are very numerous.
