The novelty was confirmed directly from the social network, with a post published on the official Instagram profile.
Direct is the section of Instagram dedicated to receiving and sending Message. A feature widely used in mobile devices, but which had not yet gotten a variant for computer. A few weeks ago, Jane Manchun Wong, an expert in the world of social networks, had anticipated that this feature would be introduced soon. As is often the case, Wong's prediction turned out to be correct.

By connecting to the address “Instagram.com/direct/inbox/” it will now be possible to view your Direct. The design is very similar to that of WhatsApp Web: on the left side we find the list of available chats and on the right the messages will appear after choosing a specific contact.
