Facebook's dark theme is reaching mobile versions as well. Leading the way are iOS devices that are beginning to receive the dark mode of the popular social network. The news was also confirmed by a company spokesperson who told The Verge that the feature is actually available to a small number of users globally.
We do not know how long it will take before it reaches all users, much less when it will be the Android version. From this point of view, it should also be on the way for smartphones moved by the green robot system given recent sightings by colleagues at XDA-Developers.

After Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger, now it's also up to Facebook to wear black. In fact, dark mode has already made its debut on the desktop version of Mark Zuckerberg's popular platform. A strange choice given that the greatest energy advantage of introducing dark mode mainly concerns smartphones. The black color, in fact, completely turns off the LEDs on the OLED displays widely used on smartphones, thus bringing benefits from an energy point of view. But not only. The use of darker shades - as opposed to lighter ones - makes it easier for some users to view and has benefits for the eyes as well.
As mentioned, the function was released for a small number of iOS users. To find out if you are among the lucky ones, you can open the Facebook app and go to the "Setting and privacy" section - after touching the three lines at the bottom right - where the "Dark Mode" item should appear. From there, you can choose which theme to use.
