Signal: Unregister or delete the account
You can permanently disable your phone number from being recognized as a Signal user by deregistering your phone number.
Your Android
Follow these steps to unsubscribe:
- Open Signal and tap your profile picture.
- Once done select Advanced and then Signal messages and calls.
- Select OK to confirm.
Your iPhone
Follow these steps to deregister and delete message history from this iPhone:
- Open Signal and tap your profile picture.
- Once done select Advanced and then Delete account.
- Select Proceed to confirm.
Su Desktop
Follow these steps to unlink and delete your message history from Desktop:
Open Signal and access the Pref Renze.
- Mac: Go to Signal> Preferences.
- Windows: Go to File> Preferences.
- Linux: Go to File> Preferences.
- Select Remove data.
- Select Delete all the data to confirm.
You will remain registered on your mobile device. Follow the steps above to deregister your number.
Conclusions
