iOS 4.3.3 Jailbreak Guide for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPod Touch [UPDATED X2]

Nota 1 : If you have a foreign iPhone, the update of iOS 4.3.3, as described in the guide, will also involve updating the Baseband (telephone part) and the impossibility of using the device with Spanish SIM cards.

Nota 2 : If you have previously used TinyUmbrella (to restore to a previous firmware), you must necessarily edit the file hosts, removing the line containing “gs.apple.com”. The hosts file in MacOS and the trova in /etc/hostsAnd in WindowsSystem32DriversEtcHosts on Microsoft system Windows.

Nota 3 : If you use Windows 7 / Vista, it is very likely that you will encounter an error with redsn0w, in the “uploading ram disk” part. To resolve this error, scroll to the bottom and read point 4.

1 – Firmware update

With the update, your settings and installed programs will be preserved. App Store. If your device is jailbroken (it had a previous jailbreak firmware), you will lose the partition with all programs installed through it. Cydia.

3 – Jailbreak iOS 4.3.3

Unzip the file to a directory on your computer and run it rojosn0w. Click on the "Explore”And locate the iOS 4.3.3 firmware file on your computer. If you used iTunes to update your device, the firmware is located in a subdirectory of ~/Library/iTunes/ in the case of MacOS o Documents and SettingsApplication DataApple ComputeriTunes for Windows XP and UsersAppDataRoamingApple ComputeriTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7.

Click on Next once the file correct was recognized by the program. Select the options like in the following image and click again Next to start the procedure by Jailbreak.

At this point, connect the device to the computer using the cable USB e turn it off, also closing iTunes. Get ready to put your device DFU (Device firmware update). In this mode, the device screen will be completely black and you will only have confirmation of DFU mode through rojosn0w.

As soon as you click Next, you will be asked to carry out these simple steps:

1) Hold down the button Boost (the one above) pressed to seconds 3 and continue holding it during step 2.

2) Sin release the button Boost, Press the button Home (the one in the center), continuing to press it for 10 seconds.

3) Release the button Boost, continuing to hold the button Home for 10 seconds i.

Now the program should recognize the device in mode DFU and proceed with the actual jailbreak. Once the files have been uploaded to the device and if everything is successful, you should find the icon Cydia, along with other installed programs.

Reboot the device at least the first time and you're done :)

4 – Solution to the “load ram disk” problem

When using Windows 7 or Vista, redsn0w will crash when performing the operation "loading ram disk“. To resolve the issue, click on the program file. redsn0w.exe right click and select from the context menu Intellectual.
Choose the tab "Compatibility" and then check "Run the program in compatibility mode to” by selecting “ from the drop-down menuWindows XP (Service Pack 3)” and press the button OK.

Run the program again and this time it will not crash during the "ram disk loading" phase.
