iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak Guide for iPhone 4, iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch [UPDATED X4]

1. Descargar redsn0w

Download the latest version of redsn0w for Windows/Mac:

2. Update the device to iOS 5.0.1

If you don't have the version iOS 5.0.1, update your device first via iTunes.

3. Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1

comienzo rojosn0w and click jailbreak.

Delete the device and connect it to the computer via USB. By pressing the “Next>“, the program will guide you to the procedure to put the device into DFU mode.

You basically have to hold down the button. Boost for seconds 3followed by the button Home + Boost (simultaneously) for seconds 10. Just release the button Boost, holding down the button Home until the device is detected by rojosn0w. To avoid making mistakes, let yourself be guided by the program in timing.

The device will come rebooted and you will have to wait for the preparation for the jailbreak. At the end of preparation, just check "Install Cydia” and proceed by clicking “Next>".

Once this last phase is completed, you will have the device with Cydia installed and the jailbreak made!
