Jailbreak is available with blackra1n for Windows created by GeoHot for all Apple devices (iPhone 3GS e iPod Touch included) that will allow you to use Cydia on your little gem.

The procedure is very simple and I summarize it in these simple steps:

CAUTION! Do not carry out the procedure if you have a 2G iPhone and foreign iPhones. The tool in question does not unlock the phone part and it will be impossible for you to unlock the baseband later if you update to the official version 3.1 or 3.1.2!

1)

• Descargar blackra1n RC2 Windows
• Download blackra1n RC2 MacOS

Download it and unzip it. The program appears as a single file. .exe (and Windows) and a file to unzip for Mac

2) Update to Firmware 3.1 o 3.1.2 planet iTunes (if you haven't already) and restart your device at least once after the update.

3) Close iTunes, connect the device and start blackra1n in Windows.

4) Click “do it ra1n”and wait for the device to reboot into recovery mode

5) At the end of the procedure, the iPhone or iPod Touch will have a new one icon by program blackra1n

6) Through blackra1n on your device, you can install Cydia e Ice Cream and have access to the entire program repository!

Note: The RC2 version also seems to create several problems for those who own an iPhone 3G. Make a backup and if something goes wrong, you can always restore it through iTunes!
