And the Highlands Hogwarts legacy they are so vast that it would take dozens and dozens of hours to explore them on foot. Fortunately, already during the initial stages of the game you will gain access to flying brooms and later you can even ride some of them fantastic animals, which will make your travels quicker and even a little more magical, just to stay on topic.
Below we will explain how to obtain all the flying broom models and how to upgrade them, as well as all the rideable creatures.
How to get a flying broom and all available models
You will experience the thrill of riding a flying broom for the first time during the main mission "The Flying Lesson", which is unlocked after "Cornacchia's Rest", about four or five hours into the game, even less, depending on your pace. During the quest Madame Kogawa will teach you the rudiments of flying with this magical means of transport and you will take a guided tour of the surroundings of Hogwarts with your classmate Everett Clopton. However, in this case you will use a borrowed flying broom, but don't worry, you will get your own in a few minutes.
Una volta completata questa missione potrete infatti dirigervi presso il negozio "Sports Equipment Spintwitches" to Hogsmeade, which was previously closed, and buy your first flying broom, which will require a small investment of money: each model sold costs exactly 600 coins. If you don't have enough money you can always sell the excess pieces of equipment, or look for the chests with the eye (there are several in Hogsmeade) and open them to quickly get 500 coins (to do this you will have to approach the chest using the Disillusionment spell to conceal your presence). Alternatively, all you have to do is complete the main and secondary missions, open the chests scattered here and there, patiently putting aside the money needed for the object of your desires. The investment is definitely worth it.
In any case, once purchased you can get on your flying broom at any time (except inside dungeons, buildings and Hogsmeade) by opening the radial menu with L1 / LB / TAB and then pressing Circle / B / 3.
In addition to the models on sale from "Attrezzature Sportive Spintwitches" you can purchase other flying brooms from the shopkeepers scattered throughout the Highland villages or by completing the challenges in which you have to pop the balloons in the air scattered throughout the Highlands. If you're wondering which ones differences there are between one model and another, the answer is: absolutely none! So choose the one you like best from an aesthetic point of view.

How to upgrade the flying broom
Avanzando nell'avventura potrete sbloccare e acquistare una serie di upgrades for your flying broom, regardless of the model you are using, which increase its maximum speed, therefore making your explorations of the Highlands even easier.
There are three in total and you can unlock the first one after purchasing the first broom at "Attrezzature Sportive Spintwitches". Once done the side quest will begin immediately "Testing", with the shop owner asking you to beat student Imelda Reyes' time on the circuit located on the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch. Nothing particularly complicated: it's simply a matter of crossing a series of rings in the sky as quickly as possible and to do so you just need to collect the luminous spheres along the way which recharge and enhance the sprint of your flying broom. Once you beat Reyes' time, return to the shop and you can purchase the upgrade for the modest sum of 1.000 coins.
Similarly, you can unlock the other two upgrades by beating Reyes' times in as many secondary missions, which will be unlocked as you continue through the main missions of Hogwarts Legacy. The second costs 4.000 coins and can be purchased by completing the "Sweeping the Competition" quest, while the third costs 7.500 coins and can be obtained after the side mission "The Sky's the Limit".
Rideable animals
In addition to flying brooms in Hogwarts Legacy you can also travel on the back of fantastic animals. Specifically, there are three flying creatures (two of which are linked to DLC and pre-order bonuses) and one on the ground.
You will unlock the Hippogriff, Obsidian Hippogriff and Thestral flying mounts by completing the main quest "The High Fortress", which you can tackle during the autumn season, approximately 10 - 15 hours after the start of the adventure, depending on your rhythms. Once complete you can get on the Strong Wing Hippogriff by opening the radial menu with L1 / LB / TAB and then pressing Triangle / Y / 2.
If you pre-ordered Hogwarts Legacy before release you will also immediately get the Obsidian Hippogriff as a bonus, which is practically identical to Strong Wing but with a different color. Finally, those who purchased the Deluxe Edition or the "Dark Arts Pack" DLC will also unlock the Thestral. Let's point out that apart from their appearance, all three Hogwarts Legacy flying mounts are identical in terms of controls, speed and so on.
Finally, progressing further in the game and completing the main mission "The Trial of Saint Bakar" will unlock the Graphorn. It is the only ground mount in the game and the only one that you can also use to damage enemies or destroy obstacles using the charge.
On our pages you will also find other Hogwarts Legacy guides, including how to get all the spells and which are the strongest, how to complete all Merlin's tests, how to get all the fantastic animals, where to find all the Demiguise Statuettes and the Keys of Daedalus, how to solve Arithmancy puzzles with doors with animal symbols and numbers, and how to obtain unforgivable curses, including Avada Kedavra.
