The history of SHU

Below, the levels included in the storyline of the Shu dynasty.

Begin the battle by proceeding west, clearing the enemy officers in the area, then proceeding to the center. Then move towards the main camp, locating the officer. Get rid of it and continue north, moving in the direction that will be marked on the map. You will get a message about a group of farmers, exactly in the center of the map. Defeat the officer nearby to retrieve them.
Move to the west side, ordering Zhang Bao to use his magic to locate two portals. Have them both open, so that the play area can be "occupied" by some troops who "shoot" ice and fire. Then move to the east side of the map, ordering Zhang Liang to cause pieces of ice to descend towards the ground.
The nearby portal to Zhang Jiao will open. Kill Zhang Yao to complete the battle.

Battle of Hulao Gate

Move south, along one of the three trails in the area, moving towards the base visible to the south-east, where Yuan Shu is located. Make your way forward to retrieve the items to be provided to Sun Jian. Beware of Hua Xiong that will appear from the south of you, try to eliminate him immediately to avoid problems during the following moments.
Move along the path that leads west. Go up the stairs, jumping inside the base and defeating the officers to stop the flow of arrows. As you enter the next base, Zhang Liao will appear. After defeating him, you will locate some catapults at the top of the hill to the east: destroy them immediately, as the hill will be used to open the portal.
Kill the officer inside, taking control of the base. Move on to the next officer to take control of the catapult. Use it to destroy the two opponents on either side of the Hulao portal. The portal will open, so we recommend that you ignore Lu Bu and continue with the battle. Moving north, you will find yourself facing Diao Chan. Try to avoid any interaction with her, then defeating the officer visible near the portal, so as to open the path that leads to Dong Zhuo. Also get rid of the officer guarding the last portal, finally Dong Zhuo to totally end the battle.

Defense of Xu Province

Defeat the officers visible inside the castle first, then the next group in the southwestern chambers, so you can "activate" the nearby boulder. Then repeat the procedure, so that the boulders begin to fall from the dragon-shaped statues, visible along the path.
It will now be necessary to separate Liu Bei's forces into three different groups. You will have to order Zhang Fei to follow the nearby units of the opponents, starting to build some catapults, with the aim of destroying all the mechanisms in the shape of a boulder. Some reinforcements will therefore come from the north and west. Cao Cao's troops will therefore beat a retreat.
At this point, Guo Jia will appear and tell one of the units in the area to try and set the castle on fire. The same "path" will therefore be carried out by two other units of different kinds, but always in the same area.
If both opposing units manage to reach the castle, it will be set on fire and the whole group of adversaries will march towards Liu Bei. In any case, it will be necessary for you to defeat all remaining opponents and proceed to Guo Jia to finally complete the battle.

Disturbance at Guandu

Take possession of the two bases west of your current location. Open the nearby portals, then defeat the other officers inside. Defeat the rest of the officers in the area as well, waiting for Yuan Shao's orders: he will order you to help the subjects near Yanjin, in the center of the map. Head to the area.
You will therefore be asked to head towards Baima. You will therefore have to head to the area. Once you arrive, you will find yourself in front of Guan Yu. Together with him, you will have to flee the battlefield. So start moving west. Once you reach the south gates of Baima, they will close and you will have to fight Xiahou Dun, Xu Huang and Xiahou Yuan. Defeat them and keep moving towards the "vanishing point" to the west.
You will find yourself facing another group of officers along the way: Guo Jia, Cao Ren and Zhan Liao. At the vanishing point, it will deactivate and you must defeat Jia Xu in order to proceed.

Battle of Xinye

Proceed forward and take control of the east and west bases near the starting play area. Cross the various bridges, reaching the "Eight Gates" area. Once inside, follow Xu Shu's directions, moving along the path that will be shown on the screen.
After defeating the group of officers, you will have to finish the next group as well. Having cleared Cao Cao's troops, you will need to head to the sleeping dragon. Cross the bridge marked on the map. Both Yueying and another group of troops will appear in the area. Having defeated them, you can head to the dragon's residence area. Once in the area, the battle will end.

Battle of Changban

Together with Liu Bei, you will have to proceed towards the Changban bridge. Once in the area, you will go and join up with Liu Bei's troops again. A group of Cao Cao's helpers will then charge towards the bridge, causing an opening. Unfortunately, you will not be able to continue the work: since Adou, Liu Bei's son, was left near the northern part of the village, you will have to head to the area to go and rescue him.
Once in this play area, you will have to defeat the two officers and locate the nearby woman in order to save Adou. Return to Liu Bei. Defeat the officers visible near the ambush, then return to the bridge.

The Walkthrough of Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends

Liu Bei's march will be blocked by an ambush. Stop near the bridge, pushing back the forces that will move towards you. Repel the two waves of opponents, then head towards Liu Bei along the path chosen for you. When you get close to Liu Bei, you will be ambushed again - destroy the catapults immediately, in order to minimize the damage suffered by the farmers. So go on to finish the neighboring officer as well. Jump down, waiting for Zhang Liao to appear. Get rid of it, having Liu Bei proceed through the portal and allow you to complete the battle.

Battle of Chibi

First defeat the three officers who will try to attack you. A ship from the west will meet you (more precisely, from the altar visible to the west), containing Sima Yi. Get rid of it, then board the ship south of the altar, heading towards Cao Cao's main fleet. Move north again, reaching Pang Tong. Defeat Zhang Liao to finish him off.
You will now have to proceed to Xu Shu's residence area to defeat him. Once this is done, all of Cao Cao's ships will be promptly destroyed. In these moments, we recommend running in circles and defeating the various officers, until you are told to go "get" Cao Pi. When he is gone, you will have to start finishing all the rest of the officers as well, moving slowly towards Cao Cao. He will then flee south, using his boat. Continue to proceed; as soon as you reach it, you will have to defeat Zhang Liao and Xu Zhui to complete the battle.

Battle of Chengdu

The first objective in the battle will be to take possession of the castle of Fu and the training areas of the soldiers of Mianzhu: these are the two bases visible along the south side of the map. Also get rid of the group of officers on the path to Mianzhu. Repeat the procedure for Castle Fu, taking possession of it. At the same time try to finish Liu Jun, who will come from the north.
A group of officers will arrive in the play area starting from the west path. Position yourself in the center of the map and hit them repeatedly to finish them off. The following objective will be to take possession of Luo's castle: head to the area and get rid of the officers inside it, thus recovering the castle in speed. As soon as Liu Bei moves towards the central area, you will be ambushed and the portal in the area will close. If / when you find yourself outside, you will have to move repeatedly in a circle and try to penetrate from the north. In case you are coming from the right, you will have to try to defeat the nearby group of troops, causing the drawbridge to descend, so that Shu's reinforcements can arrive in the area. They will bring catapults with them, which can be used to destroy the central portal leading to Chengdu.
Once inside Chengdu, both Ma Chao and Ma Dai will appear. Start fighting with them. When you are about to defeat them, they will join your army, causing panic within Chengdu. The nearby portal will also open. Defeat all the officers nearby, then make your way to Liu Zhang to start a fight. Having defeated him too, the battle will be completed.

Battle of Mt. Dingjun

The first objective will be to take possession of the two bases at the foot of Mount Dingjun. To do this, you will have to defeat the officers inside. So move along the west side of the map, getting rid of the officers along the way. At the top, eliminate Zhang He to take possession of Mount Tiandang. Go up the stairs, locating the circle on the ground. Position yourself inside it, pressing the switch to make your character proceed downwards, arriving inside the mountain. Get rid of the officers nearby to take control of the area.
When you have taken possession of Dingjun, you will have to go to Cao Cao to defeat him. The procedure for doing this will first see you move to the barracks just south of Cao Cao, where you will find a group of officers. Eliminate them, then continue to Cao Cao to complete the battle.

Battle of Fan Castle

Get rid of the enemies outside the castle. When Wei's attack is complete, you need to head to the escape point on the southeast corner. Meanwhile, it will also be necessary to repel the enemy ambush, and then defeat Niu Jun.
You will then be informed about the death of Guan Ping. Then continue to the southeast corner, where some Wu officers will arrive, including Lu Xun and Lu Meng. We now recommend that you take advantage of your accumulated "anger". A certain amount of enemies will then move west, as a new "vanishing point" will appear in the southwest.
When your allies reach the portal, it will close and Mi Fang will betray you. To open the gate, it will therefore be necessary to defeat both Mi Fang and Fu Shiren. Do this, then proceed north, aiming to reach the checkpoint in the west. Beware of the ambush that will come from the south, you will forcibly come across it along the way.
Once these opponents are defeated, you can proceed further. Xiahou Dun will appear in the area, closing the portal to the north. Get rid of the officers who arrive in the area, causing the portal to open. Continue south. Get rid of Cao Ren to end the battle.

Battle of Yiling

Follow Liu Bei as he moves (solo) to the forest. You will therefore be ambushed by a group of Wu, be prepared to quickly repel all the officers in the area. Continue to the crossroads. The portal will close, and you will have to proceed north. Defeat the next group of officers, and find yourself facing a battle between Liu Bei and Lu Xun.
Defeated Lu Xun, Zhuge Liang will return to Liu Bei, trying to convince him to retreat. Follow Liu Bei along the way, helping him defeat the officers. When it stops, you have to finish Gan Ning. When you get the next ambush, you'll have to defeat Ling Tong and Xue Zong - only then will Liu Bei keep moving. It will therefore create a path for you that allows you to proceed to the end of the level.

Battle of Tianshui

Move to first base, taking control of it and defeating the officer in the area. Proceed to Tianshui Castle. Destroy the catapults, then eliminate the officers in the area.
So Jiang Wei will appear. Try to counter it, until it proceeds towards Andang. It will therefore be your duty to go and "capture" Andang. The next event will be similar, but your goal is to take control of Nan'an Castle. You'll first need to head to the barracks slightly south, take control of them, and use them to craft siege weapons. So get rid of Pan Sui.
Having taken Nan'an, you will have to continue to Tianshui and defeat Xiahou Mao there. A portal will open: enter and get rid of Ma Zun. Finally, kill Jiang Wei to complete the battle.

Battle of Jieting

Ma Su is positioned at the top of the mountain, surrounded by Wei troops. First move along the east path - all other paths are blocked by large boulders. Along the way, you will be ambushed by two enemy officers. Defeat them both, then keep moving towards the end of the path. Some catapults will arrive on the scene.
Destroy them, and do the same with the officer placed in their control. Move along the central path. You will now have to reach all the allied officers, helping them to defeat the enemy that threatens their safety.
After you help them, they will retreat to the main camp. Keep going up the mountain. Some troops will arrive in the area. Get rid of it and continue to the area where Ma Su is located. Once there, get rid of the officers nearby. You will now have to flee with Ma Su to Shu's main camp. So defeat Sima Zhao and Sima Shi, so that Ma Su can escape and complete the battle.

Battle of Chencang

The goal is to escort the siege ramps to their destination. However, you will have to pay attention to the Wei soldiers who will drop the boulders from the top of the castle. After some time, an underground passage will become visible. You will have to use it to proceed towards the inside of the castle. Before doing so, we recommend that you get rid of all of Liu Xei's forces, so that they cannot follow you towards the inside of the passage. Once near the commander, Zhang He will arrive on the scene. Get rid of it and move forward to complete the battle.

Battle of the Wuzhang Plains

First get rid of all the officers around, making Wei retreat. You will then be able to access the east and west sides of the playing area, which lead to the main camp.
Overcome the defenses, Guo Huai and Zhuge Dan will arrive on the scene, challenging your officers. Take care only of the opponent on your side, so as not to waste energy for nothing.
After a few cutscenes, your goal will be to prevent Wu Ban from being defeated by being the main commander of your forces. Then, Sima Shi and Sima Zhao will open the main portal of the play area, heading towards Shu's main camp. The area exactly in the center will therefore become a huge meeting of enemy officers. Move in a circle and kill them one by one, awaiting the arrival of Xiahou Ba. Then move towards Sima Yi, freeing yourself from him to complete the battle.

Battle of Fan Castle

Talk to Xu Shu inside the camp to start the battle. As a first objective you will have to take control of the barracks to the north. To do this, you will have to defeat the officer in the area. Some siege ramps will then appear. Follow them, then go up one of these ramps, arriving at the portal. Here you will have to defeat Pang De, avoiding the enemy using a "special" attack.

Go now to help Guan Yu, taking care of the group of opponents that will come from the southeast. It will also be necessary to defeat the Wu officers who will run beyond your group. Then head to the southeast corner, where you will find all the other Wu officers. Xiahou Dun will then appear to the southwest, heading towards the nearby portal. Move full speed to the northwest corner, and quickly hit Cao Ren to win the battle.

Battle of Lukou

Head to the area marked on the map, defeating the officer visible inside the barracks. Continue to the next barracks, awaiting the appearance of Lu Fan. Get rid of it, then move to the "suspected" areas. Here you will find two other attack units, similar to the previous one. Pulverize them, then continue towards the central barracks and ambush the only unit that will appear here, taking possession of the barracks.
You will now have to "lure" Lu Xun to the central barracks so that Shu can set it on fire. So go up the ladder used by Lu Xun, then trying to defeat the two neighboring officers, so as to make Wu's attack path inactive.
Then proceed to Lu Meng. You will need to get rid of it quickly, then move on to eliminate Gan Ning, Ling Tong, Ding Feng and Lu Su. The first two will literally "meet" you. Then also get rid of Ding Feng to open the portal that leads to the main camp. Get rid of Lu Su to end the battle.

Ambush at Chang'an

Completely clear the first play area of any enemy. Go to the cleaning girl, having her open the door. Head left, clearing all officers in the area.
Zang He will free his sister, and she will take care of making the path that allows you to proceed forward "active". Xiahou Mao will retreat, leaving Cai Wenji in the area. Eliminate it, then exit the play area. Follow the path that will lead to Jiang Wei, killing the subjects who attempt to ambush you. After Jiang Wei's defeat, he will retreat to the southeast corner. Before heading to the area, you'll need to get rid of Ma Zun so you can isolate him. With that done, head out and move south. Follow the path that leads to Jiang Wei. You will locate a group of traps along the way. Defeated Jiang Wei, he will join Shu on the following path.
The goal will now be to reach Xiahou Mao. Take control of the armory, thus managing to reach the bridge. Jiang Wei will open the portal for you. Take care of defeating the officer inside, taking control of the armory. Once this is done, also defeat Yue Jin and Li Dian. Walk across the "new" bridge until Wang Yi and Xu Huang appear. Get rid of it and continue to Xiahou Mao. Defeat Guo Jia to complete the battle.

Pacification of Nanzhong

As the battle begins, get rid of the subjects in front of you, until Meng Huo decides to "deactivate" the barracks to the north. Defeat him to cause the portal to open. Head west to meet Yueying. Get rid of the two officers, having Yueying send two Juggernauts to the central area.
Head to the area, taking out the tigers in front of you. King Mulu will try to reach you. Finish it, then continue east. Jinhuan Sanjie will use a boulder to block the path: you will therefore have to move completely west along the narrow path, avoiding falling into the swamps (they are poisonous!). As you move along the west path, Zhurong will attempt to hit you from behind. Finish it, then continue east. Drop to the area where Jinhuan Sanjie is located. Get rid of it, retrieve one of the elephants, and go back to destroy the boulders. Move to the main camp. So Meng Huo will appear.
Defeat him, causing him to retreat to the main camp. Move south, waiting for one of the officers to cause some rocks to fall. Get past the boulders, freeing yourself of Ahui Nan to stop the flow of rocks. Zhurong will appear in the area (east), get rid of her too, to continue to the main camp and get rid of Meng Huo, always paying attention to Zhurong.

Invasion of Luoyang

Continue forward until you reach the area indicated on the map. The portals will close and you will be ambushed to the south. Defeat Man Chong, continue north to get another ambush. Continue forward to the dead end, causing a new play area to appear. Defeat the incoming ambush, then continue north, following the path that allows you to pass the northwest door.
Also get rid of the two officers in the area, continuing towards the main corridor, where Jia Xu is located. Once in the vicinity, you will suffer yet another ambush: reset all present, then continue towards the east portal, returning from Guan Xing.
Locate Sima Zhao near the portal to the far east. Get rid of it, causing the nearby bridge to descend. Move south, then west, destroying the officers nearby. Finally, only Cao Pi will remain: get rid of him too to definitively complete the battle.

Capture of Wei

Move east, reaching the "illuminated" areas, ie the points from which the reinforcements will arrive. Get rid of the officers positioned at the points. Continue to proceed along the castle, avoiding the "impact" with the archers. Kill the robots, then make your way to the arena containing Zhang Liao, Yue Jin and Li Dian. Kill them, then continue south. Also finished the fire-breathing traps in the area, as well as the two Juggernauts that will arrive nearby. The portal to the next game zone will appear.
You will now have to finish both Jia Xu and Wang Yi in order to proceed beyond the "Outer Castle" portal. Enter, causing the portal to close. You will be ambushed: finish the boss, Xiahou Dun. Defeat the officers nearby, clearing the way for Cao Cao, the last opponent, to arrive. Having finished it, you can claim to have completed the battle!

The history of the WEI dynasty

Below, the levels included in the storyline of the Wei dynasty.

Escape from Luoyang

Proceed forward, eliminating Li Meng, opening the nearby portal. Continue to Li Jue, which will open the next portal, leading you to an underground flight of stairs. Follow the path, returning outside. You will locate a message about a portal being closed. Get rid of Xu Rong. Jump to the area below. Destroy the catapults.

Continue to the next area, locating Diao Chan. He will tell you that he will help you get out of the battlefield. Before you can do that, however, you'll need to take out the three officers in the area. Do this, then follow Diao Chan until you reach the bridge. When you lower it, Zhang Liao and Li Su will arrive in the area. Defeat them both, then move forward following the path that will appear on the screen.

Battle of Hulao Gate

Proceed along any of the various trails available. You will first have to reach the southeast corner, the storage area. Get rid of the officers, then wait for Sun Jian to retrieve his supplies. The Si Shui portal will open, and you can proceed inside. Then continue to the next portal, dodging the shots of the archers.
South, causing the appearance of Zhang Liao. Proceed up the hill, reaching the next portal. Defeat the officer, then Jia Xu. So instead of going down to the area below, head to Diao Chan. Defeated too, you can reach the last portal. Eliminate the officer placed to protect him, then converse with Dong Zhuo, setting the entire play area on fire. Then move along the next path full of curves, meeting with Dong Zhuo to complete the battle.

Battle of Yan Province

Proceed forward, freeing yourself from the enemies with yellow turbans. Continue inwards, the portal will then close. You will now have to go and examine the area to the northeast. So move east, passing the central area.
You will therefore have to deal with a single officer present in the area. The rest of the opponents will be visible near the barracks to the northwest. So head to the area. When you arrive, there is likely only one officer left. Finish it, thus completing the battle definitively. Also defeat the previous opponent to end the battle permanently.

Battle of Xu Province

Follow the path, clearing the officers along the way, until you reach the north part of the spiral. Dodge the enemy boulders, then take advantage of the nearby catapults near the southwest corner of the spiral. Keep going until you reach the area indicated on the map.
Once you reach the catapults, get rid of the officer and proceed towards the north part of the spiral. Shoot a boulder at the dragon heads, destroying them one by one. You will now have to go back south, then east, fighting east, and continuing towards the camp. In this way, Tao Qian will retreat further towards the castle.
After the short cutscene, move west through the castle, defeating the officer visible along the way. Move to the main camp. Get rid of Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun. Continue to the barracks to the north. Unfortunately, you will be stopped by the closing of a door, and you will be ambushed by two soldiers. Try to eliminate both of them before proceeding. Once this is done, continue west along the path that leads to the final area, where you will find Liu Bei. Defeat him to complete the battle.

Battle of Puyang

You will first have to head to Juan's castle, where you can save Xun Yu, near the eastern area of the map. Also get rid of the reinforcements that will come along the way. Use the wooden walkway to get to the castle. Defeated Zhang Liao, the portal will open and you can go and rescue Xun Yu. You will now have to fight to return to the opposite side of the map. Once you reach the north bridge, you will have to focus on the defeat of the officer who will appear in the area. Then continue towards the south bridge.
You will therefore be ambushed, and at the same time the nearby portal will close. Get rid of the officers in the area, then move along the south path to get inside Puyang. Exit to the east, continuing along the path to the south. Get rid of the next group of officers along the way, then Zhang Liao just outside the southwest checkpoint.
So move north, trying to reach Puyang. Get rid of the officer, then open the portal to get inside Puyang. You will arrive near a room with Lu Bu and Diao Chan. Focus first on Diao Chan, and then move on to Lu Bu, so as to definitively complete the battle.

Imperial Escort

Move forward, clearing the officers in the area. Then head to the transporter, causing Guo Si to appear. Defeat him, causing the cargo to shift to the right. Get rid of the rest of the officers, arriving at the right hand side of the fork.
Get rid of both the officer and the neighboring captain, so that the flow of men stops. Move to the portal, getting rid of Yuan Shu. At some point, some boulders will start falling towards your direction. Lu Bu will appear near a checkpoint, just behind the transporter. We recommend leaving him alone, as he can defeat you quickly. In the meantime, it will be advisable to dodge the boulders, continuing towards the checkpoint indicated on the map.
Defeated the officers, the "flow" of the boulders will stop. Continue to the next area, paying attention to the appearance of the fog. Your objective will be to locate the emperor, who has apparently been kidnapped - his position will be visible on the map. Having found it, get rid of the officers as well. Take him to the vanishing point, where Zhang He and Yuan Shao will appear. Defeat them both so that the emperor can escape and complete the battle.

Battle of Wan Castle

The playing field will be "on fire", which decreases the level of your life points. Defeat the first officer first, thus following the only path available. Once in the corridor, destroy the robots. Continuing towards the following area, you will find yourself in front of some statues of the dragons: as soon as you get close, they will breathe fire. We recommend starting with a single hit, the best way to destroy them quickly.
Having destroyed all of them, the portal to the next area will become accessible. Defeat the commanders to proceed. Attention now to the catapults, immediately get rid of the officer placed under their control, so that you no longer run any risk.

Continue to the next room, defeating the officer guarding the door. It will open, and you will then visualize an intermission scene.
After completing the scene, get rid of the officers and then continue to the southwest corner. So get rid of the enemies who will ambush you, causing Zhang Xiu to appear inside the castle. He will be followed by a small group of officers: we recommend that you eliminate the officers near the barracks first. Once the game area is cleared, proceed to the north-west area, where Jia Xu is located. So defeat both Zhang Xiu and Jia Xu to get a definitive victory.

Battle of Xiapi

Straight ahead, then open the first portal to the east. So move to the northeast corner. After defeating the officer, continue towards the messenger. Return to the area highlighted in green, defeating the commander, causing the drawbridge to descend. Continue west after crossing the bridge. Defeat the officer inside the barracks, continuing along the path.
Keep running to get past the fire of the oncoming crossbows. Swerve to the right. You will find yourself in front of Zang Ba, subject in charge of controlling the crossbow. So continue to the next warehouse: unfortunately, the portal will be closed in front of your eyes. Get rid of the archers, causing the portal to reopen. Go to eliminate Zang Ba to reset the fire of the catapults. Get rid of the incoming officers.
After the castle is flooded, some messengers will be sent to the northwest corner to get reinforcements. We advise you to position yourself in an adequate way to intercept them, so that no one can get to their destination (that is, try to kill them all before they reach their destination). Continue into Xiapi to try to reach Lu Bu.

Battle of Guandu

Head north, taking control of the barracks just outside your main camp. So wait outside the barracks, getting rid of all the officers who come to the area.
After a short time, Xu You will leave and Wuchao's deposit will be burned. You will therefore have to escort an attacking unit to an objective marked on the map. Get rid of the officers along the way, awaiting the arrival of Zhang He. Proceed beyond the portal that leads to Guandu. Fight through the castle, until you reach the portal of the main chamber, where you will find Yuan Shao.
After defeating Zhenji, she will join Wei's group. The main room will now become accessible, and there you will have to defeat Yuan Shao to successfully complete the mission.

Battle of Bailang

Your first objective will be to take control of the bases at the foot of Mount Bailang. There will be 6 in total. Each of them will be guarded by a guardian, who will take care of opening the portal. Once they are accessible, you will need to defeat the officer inside to take control of them.
Recover all the bases, you will have to proceed towards the east side of the map, attacking the enemy base to the north. Watch out for the wolves that will appear inside the caves along the way. We recommend increasing your speed to avoid any kind of contact.
Travel to the base at the top, defeating the officer. Jump into the portal that opens, defeating Yuan Tan. Follow the central path, defeating Yuan Xi. At the second corridor, you will locate some secret passages leading to the base, containing the rest of the Yuan.
A group of reinforcements will therefore arrive in the area. Only one Yuan will remain in your group. Move along the secret passage, quickly eliminating the guardian to allow the portal to open. You will then be able to access the base directly. There will be only one Yuan in the area, get rid of it quickly to complete the battle. So some reinforcements will arrive. Move along the nearby secret passage, getting rid of the portal guardian. Open the portal, gaining access to the base. Get rid of the Yuan to end the battle.

Battle of Xinye

The first objective will be to be able to enter beyond the "Eight Gates", going to save Cao Ren before he is defeated. Since the entrance will move along the play area, we recommend that you place yourself near the corner in the far north-east, until you hear the message regarding the movement of the group of enemies. You can then easily locate the entrance and proceed forward, following the checkpoints.
Get rid of the officers along the way, going to rescue Cao Ren in the central area. Next, you will need to proceed to Xu Shu, near one of the south exits of the eight gates. After defeating him, he will become your prisoner. You can then proceed along one of the two bridges leading south, arriving at the camp of Liu Bei. You will therefore find yourself in front of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Eliminate them, then proceed to Liu Bei and finish him to reach the end of the mission.

Battle of Chibi

First move north, defeating Sun Quan's assault unit, made up of three different officers. You will then be contacted by Cao Cao, after which you will see a cutscene during which your entire fleet will be set on fire - so your life points will be halved for every moment you are on one of your ships.
Cao Cao will now have to flee south, trying to reach "safety". Unfortunately, Cai Mao has chosen to switch to the enemy, a situation that complicates your progress. Either way, you'll have to make your way to the next checkpoint, getting rid of the officers along the way, with the aim of reaching the small ship to the west. Here it will be necessary to repel Taishi Ci, to then board the ship itself.
Gan Ning will also board the ship, you will have to defeat him before you can leave. After leaving and reaching the land, proceed further forward to find yourself in front of Liu Bei and Sun Shangxiang. Defeat them both, thus locating Zhang Fei, slightly ahead.
We recommend avoiding it, instead proceeding north, where you will "suffer" an ambush by a group of rocks and some archers. Defeat the two officers in the area, then proceed north again, trying to reach the vanishing point. When you get close enough, Zhao Yun will arrive on the scene: defeat him to make you open the portal and escape.

Battle of Tong Gate

Exit the camp, getting rid of the enemies placed in front of it. Move to the portal leading to the central barracks, defeating Yang Fu to complete the mission. Cao Cao will then begin to move along the east side of the map. Met Han Sui, you will have to escort him forward. Then continue to follow Cao Cao until Ma Dai appears.
Cao Cao will therefore meet Han Sui. Move to the "private" room, waiting for reinforcements. Continue, in the meantime, to kill the subjects in the surroundings. At some point, Ma Chao will appear inside your camp. Finish it quickly, so also get rid of the crossbows near the main portal. To reach them it will be necessary to proceed along the path to the east, entering the barracks, then moving along the exit to the south. Go up the hill, then west. Destroy the two catapults, thus waiting for the ram to pass through the first portal. Then move along the path to the west.
You will finally arrive at the two catapults, destroy them then proceed to the second portal. Exit west, then north, getting rid of the officer to take control of the catapults. Approach one of them and use it to destroy the third portal. Drop down and pass through the portal, destroying the catapults. So free the last two areas from any enemy presence, finally defeating Ma Chao to complete the battle.

Battle of Hefei

Climb the nearby stairs, then drop to the enemy soldiers. Fend off the opposing soldiers, then continue along the northwest corner, defeating the officer in the area to clear your way to the path to the west.
At the checkpoint, you will be ambushed by Ling Tong and Gan Ning, as well as two other officers. Get rid of the whole group, then continue to move east. Continue east, trying to reach the ladders. Climb, then reset the enemies near the base. Climb the stairs again until you reach Taishi Ci. Kill him, then continue south, destroying the bridge and moving to the highlighted area on the screen. You will now need to take control of three of the bases surrounding the Wu camp.
Go back to where you came from, taking control of the base to the north. Once this is done, continue west, then south, making it possible to arrive at Wu's main camp. So get rid of both Zhou Tai and Sun Quan, completing the battle.

Battle of Dingjun

Jump into the sea, freeing yourself from the officers. So pay attention to the west side of the map, from which Huang Zhon should come: as soon as you see him arrive, you will have to head towards Mount Tiandang, north-west of Dingjun.
But Dai will take care of placing the siege ramps in the area. You can now head to the main camp from the north. Zhao Yun will also try to reach the area from the north, we recommend that you eliminate him too.
When you get close to the main enemy camp, you will find Ma Chao waiting for you in front of the main portal. Get rid of it, then proceed straight to Zhuge Liang to complete the battle.

Battle of Fan Castle

Jump into the water, starting to swim towards the castle, dodging the oncoming boulders. Although Lu Meng and Wu arrive, you will be ambushed by Shu. You will now have to eliminate the officer in their command: move along the east exit, exiting the castle of Fan. Move in the direction indicated. When Zhou Cang is dead, you will be ambushed by Guan Suo and Wei Yan.
Continue now towards the inside of the barracks. Move south, then in circles, so as to gain access to the inside of the barracks. Guan Xiang will start throwing rocks at you; you will have to defeat him quickly to interrupt the "flow" of rocks.

Pang De will also be isolated in the northwest corner and will need to be rescued by you - head to the area as soon as you get the chance.
Move to the west side of the map, then south. You will be interrupted by closing the portal. So wait for the rams to destroy the portal, it is the only way that will allow you to proceed. So begin to finish off the enemies in the area. Finally, the children of Guan Yu will arrive, including Guan Suo, Guan Ping and Guan Xing. Quickly get rid of it, continuing towards the portal that leads to Guan Yu. Defeat Yinping to cause the portal to open. So get rid of Yu to complete the battle.

Battle of Chibi

Start the battle by freeing yourself of the enemy officers north of the main camp. Xu Shu will talk about the plan of the enemies, which is to "link" various ships together. He will also ask you to follow him to the target zone. You will find Pang Tong there. Defeat him to proceed.
Now continue towards the ship, awaiting the surprise attack of the enemy - you will have to deal with Huang Gai and Han Dang. Then continue towards the Cai Mao residence area. Defeat him to get him back to Mei.
Board the ship to the south, which after a short time will start moving towards the east side of the map. Get rid of the enemy officers in the area, heading towards the main camp. Approach the altar to defeat Zhuge Liang. Keep fighting towards the main enemy camp, defeating the officers you will find along the way. At the front portal, get rid of Ding Feng. Go inside and get rid of Sun Quan as well to end the battle.

Campaign for Jianye

Move north, clearing the west side of the enemies. The next objective will be to take control of the three bases in front of Jianye. First approach the base in the far west, causing Gan Ning to appear. Get rid of it and continue east.
Take the three bases, move on to try and check the castle to the south. After you defeat the enemies, the main portal of the castle will open and you can proceed inside. Unfortunately, you will be ambushed by Taishi Ci and Han Dang.
Destroy them and their underlings, then continue to the main castle. Having reached it, you will immediately have to deal with Sun Shangxiang and Huang Gai. Defeat them by opening the main portal. Xue Zong will be inside waiting for you, try to finish it in speed. Lu Xun will therefore order the closing of the gates, and you will have to deal with him and Lu Meng together with the Qiao sisters. We recommend terminating the two sisters first, thus causing the portal to reopen. Proceed forward, then quickly backtrack to defend your main camp. Get rid of Lu Xu and Lu Meng, then go back to the castle.
Begin to proceed along the only path available, paying attention to the traps. After defeating Zhou Yu, move to Sun Quan and defeat Zhou Tai as well, causing the portal to open and the battle to end.

Uprising at Xuchang

Move south, ending the officer who will appear in the area. Move to the next room, clearing the soldiers to open the portal. So get rid of the three sorcerers nearby. The three ghost soldiers will disappear.

Examine the south room, causing a ghost version of Cao Cao to appear. Defeat him to proceed. Wang Zhon will appear again, in the area just to the east: head in that direction, knocking him out to locate Zuo Ci. Together with him, you can reach the throne room. Returning to the previous room, ghost versions of Dong Zhuo and Yuan Shao will appear.
Get rid of it, then Lu Bu will appear in the small room as you proceed north. Eliminate him, then do the same for the soldiers who will appear near the courtyard-shaped area. You will then be able to reach the last of the portals that leads to Zuo Ci. He will create some "duplicates" of himself: focus your attention on the "real" enemy, so that you can easily defeat him, aiming and hitting him repeatedly.

Pursuit at Nanjun

Your initial goal will be to prevent Liu Bei from reaching the vanishing point. From the initial fork, proceed north, locating the officer. Then continue along the path below, where Zhao Yun will be present. Finish it, then continue forward beyond the second officer, so as to get directly to the second portal. Go down, then prepare to have to endure a fire-based attack, launched by Chen Zhen.
To locate it, you will have to go directly to the area completely "taken" by the fire. Once this is done, you can end it by causing the nearby portal to open. The rest of Wei's army can then join you. Now continue along the path that proceeds to the south, arriving near a group of catapults (four). Destroy them all, then get rid of Liao Hua to cause the fire to stop. Proceed along the only path available, going through the central area, pushing back the officers in the area. The portal will open, revealing also the presence of a ladder.
Climb the ladder, reaching the next base, where you will locate Yueying. Overcome it, then aim at the following group of officers, trying to finish them in speed. Once in the vicinity of Liu Bei, listen to his views, and then defeat the three officers in the vicinity.

Battle of Baidi Castle

As the battle begins, your camp will be completely burned down. You will have to locate the officers in charge of the attack, and defeat them one by one. We recommend starting from Liu Yin, located slightly to the west, and then moving on to the next one, locating to the north-west.
Having finished both of them, you will have to head towards Zhao Yun, who will surely have started his charge towards the main camp. Get on the boat to the north, and then send it off. After a while it will stop, exactly in the middle of the route. Use the catapult to destroy the tree on the beach. Once this is done, Guan Ping will jump on the boat. Take it out, then jump down and move to Jian Yong in the center of the map.
You will find yourself in front of a group of officers. Use the catapults to destroy the main portal. Enter the castle of Baidi. Some rock "throwers" will appear - we recommend avoiding their shots and not fighting, aiming instead to reach your opponents on the opposite side, using the ladders on the side. You will therefore have to complete a fight against the last great group of opponents. Once this is done, the last portal will open. So finish Liu Bei to completely complete the battle.
