Tonight at 03:00 a new free Animal Crossing: New Horizons update was made available to players, introducing the scariest event of the year. I'm talking about Halloween, for which the game has made available not only an exclusive set of do-it-yourself schematics, but also brand new mechanics and game-sensitive enhancements. In this guide we explain in detail how to enjoy the event to the fullest.

Fifonio, Tsar of Halloween

The scariest there is, the mysterious being with a carved pumpkin for headdress. We are talking about Fifonio, the famous Halloween Tsar who has been accompanying players in the October holiday for several years. Your day will begin with a gift in the mail: Fifonio announces that, very soon, you will see each other again. The package for its part contains a photo of him.

Trick or treat?

That's right, there's no Halloween without a stash of treats. Marco and Mirco know this well, which is why they have already started selling sweets in their shop starting October 1st. Treats can be purchased at the price of 120 stars the one. We advise players to stock it up for the rest of the month to avoid running out of it on that fateful day!

Colorful pumpkins!

Yes, you read that right: different types of pumpkins are now available for cultivation! For the occasion, Florindo will always show up on your island on 1 October: sells pumpkin seedlings with a few stars, an unmissable deal. If you missed the most famous plant guru of the Animal Crossing saga, well, you can also buy the same plants from Marco and Mirco.

Pumpkin seedlings come in four different colors: orange, yellow, green, and white. To craft the exclusive patterns you can use them regardless of the color, but the variety of types is made to fit better as decorations, whatever the style of your island.

Schemes… thrilling!

What event would it be without your own set of DIY schemes to decorate the house and the whole island? Nintendo did not miss anything. As a result, for this event we will have 14 new Halloween themed patterns, all to be discovered and created!

Schemes can be obtained in the following ways:

• Entering the home of a resident who fumbles with a workbench and talking to him;
• Bursting the balloons and opening the presents;
• Finding them in daily message bottles left on the beach;

In addition, on October 31st Fifonio will give you the scheme to create the Shivering Chariot, the most complex - and most impressive - recipe of the entire set. This, unless you have already received it.

If you bring to Fifonio a sufficient quantity of lollipops, obtained by trick or treating with the inhabitants on October 31, he will give you the Fifonio's mask and Fifonio's tunic. Now you are the assistants of the mythical Tsar!

New character changes

Once you enter the game after the update, you will find a letter from Nook Inc .: it will notify you that new sets are available for the colors of the eyes and the skin, which can be purchased with miles from the Nook Miles Catalog. You will need them if you want to create the scariest costume there is!
