Days Gone, guide to Infestations and Nests

Days Gone is finally available, as bombastic as the bike with which we will cross the regions of an Oregon folded by the hordes of Furiosi who have invaded the United States. In the role of Deacon St. John, a centaur who like anyone who has survived fights to see one more sunrise, we will also have the thankless task (optional but not too much, as it will allow us to travel quickly to certain areas) of free some infested areas by burning all the nests of Furiosi.

Caution: it is advisable to make a manual save before cleaning a nest as, albeit very rarely, you may run into an unpleasant bug for which the Furious's nest will no longer appear in the game world even if it will remain present in the map as "still to be cleaned" .

To do this they will need Molotov in abundance, which you will learn to build in the first few minutes of the game, and make sure you always have the materials with us to build them. If you want to make the task a little easier, among the various skills available there is also the very useful one "Broad shoulders" which increases the capacity of throwing items. It is located in the fourth branch of the Survival section, which you will only unlock after purchasing two first, second and third level skills respectively.

If you want you can also exploit the incendiary darts for the Crossbow, which you will get later having conquered eight camps: a single unit of kerosene is enough to build three, undoubtedly less expensive than a Molotov cocktail which requires a unit of kerosene, a bottle of beer and a rag, but the crossbow counts as a special weapon. You may prefer another one despite the benefits of pest control.

None of these infestations are linked to a particular moment in history, although there will be two occasions during which you will be banned from specific areas of the game: once finished, however, the entire map will be available to you again. Remember that it is not necessary to kill the Furious, burning the nests in which they are found is enough.
