If your destination in Night City is too far, we explain how fast travel in Cyberpunk 2077 works to shorten distances
Night City is a really big city, full of side streets and perhaps a little confusing. In fact, it is not like any existing city and has a unique and decidedly branched conformation. Sometimes it can be difficult to navigate its ways, so getting lost is pretty easy if you don't know the areas by heart. However, there is a way to make it easier for you to move around, a system common to almost all open worlds, but here it works in a slightly different way. So let's see how Fast Travel works in Cyberpunk 2077.
This is how fast travel works in Cyberpunk 2077
Those familiar with The Witcher 3 and have already enjoyed that travel system will probably be comfortable in Night City too, others will find out right away. In essence, to travel quickly you will have to have necessarily finished the narrative phase concerning your origins, therefore starting with the first chapter of the game. After that, you can't just open the map and choose a place to teleport to having visited it previously.
You will be able to make the fast travel only starting from a specific place of interest to another. These places are marked with icons on the map in the shape of blue hexagon and at play they are visible as information kiosks for tourists. They have the appearance of small cabins with a large green hologram of the Night City map. So basically to travel quickly you simply have to reach one of these cabins, or blue markers, and choose another blue marker as the destination.
