11 years after the original release, the progenitor of the beloved souls series Demon's Souls comes back in a completely renewed graphic layout to make us spend days of good fun (or anger, depending on how much patience you have).
This time around the race to Platinum will be a little easier than originally given the modification of some of the more challenging trophies on PS3, but don't expect a health walk anyway (especially if this is the first souls you play).
In fact, dear “non-veterans” of the series, you should know that the world of Demon's is ruled by fragile balances and rules as simple as they are punitive, which if not respected will make the conquest of platinum a long and frustrating experience.
So, before we start with the actual guide, I will introduce you to a couple of useful tips and explanations that will allow you to avoid turning your trip to the kingdom of Boletaria into complete hell.

The laws governing the world of Demon's Souls: Trends
That of the trends is the main mechanic that regulates an enormous amount of events within the world of Demon's Souls, being able on the one hand to help you with very useful objects or on the other hand to transform your experience into a nightmare, so it will be essential that you have it in mind operation right away.
First of all, what are the trends? You can understand them as a sort of "karma" of the game world, a system that will have direct consequences on the game world for every important action we take.
There are two types of trends, that of the world and that of the character, which regulate, respectively, the events of the game world and some statistics of your character and enemies.
All trends will have a variable color range from Pure White al Pure Black, based on the actions you will perform.
After this premise, let's examine the various bonuses / malus of the trends:

Changing Trends
Changing trends is quite simple actually once you have learned the basics explained above, the problem will be not to make mistakes, because the margin of error is really small.
To send the world to White it will be necessary to defeat all the bosses of a world, avoid dying in human form and not kill any NPCs.
Going into soul form will be very simple, you just need to commit suicide in the Nexus since it is considered a neutral area.
To send the world towards Black, however, you just need to die in human form (full life bar).
Final tips
After this very long explanation on the basics of the game, here are some simple tips to not miss the platinum.
- Play offline: the possible invasion of other players will often complicate your way to platinum a lot, so better avoid problems by playing online.
- Always play in soul form: the anima form will be easily recognizable by the cut life bar, it will be useful to play in this form because every death will not cause malus to the world trend.
- Don't consume boss souls unnecessarily: each boss soul will serve you to create useful items for platinum, so avoid using them randomly.
- Don't kill the NPCs: you will need them, it is not worth killing them if not for certain objectives.
- Don't free the caged character in world 3-2: in area 2 of the second world you will find a caged character (that veterans of the saga will know), avoid freeing him until you need him, otherwise there will be terrible consequences for the NPCs of the Nexus.
- Cleared all archstones in Pure White during the first run: getting them to Nero Puro will be easy, so get rid of the hard part to get right away, namely Pure White.
- Don't be scared if you miss something on the first run: in Demon's everything can be recovered in multiple runs (indeed, some items you can only get in NG +), obviously times will not be optimized if you lose something, but platinum will never get out of hand.
