Guides All about the new levels, Seasons and Kalos Pokémon - Pokémon GO

We're finally there: Pokémon GO goes further with the new update GO Beyond, coming soon. GO Beyond means going beyond, above the maximum level in the first place and beyond the current features of the game. An update therefore that promises great things, hoping it can hold up well these promises.

The update foresees the arrival of the levels beyond 40, for which not only experience points will be needed, as well as a system of Seasons and the arrival of Pokémon from the Kalos region. All, of course, accompanied by a sea of themed events on the horizon.

New level advancement

The long awaited post level 40 arrived, bringing with it a dedicated event to help everyone move forward - and also a rework of the previous levels. From today November 18th until December 31st of this year we will get them all double the experience points, to quickly reach the now old limit. If you succeed by December 31st, level 40 will bring with it the title of Promised Trainer, a Gyarados hat and other ad hoc rewards.

The rework to the level system will take effect starting November 30th. From that date, first of all, the amount of experience points earned for each action will be increased for all Trainers forever. In some cases it will double the original amount of points earned. It will also be possible to make your Pokémon reach a maximum of Battle Points higher than before. This will be possible thanks to the L Candies, a new type that will be introduced shortly.

Let's now turn to the real challenge. In order not to favor certain Trainers who have already reached level 40 and gained a lot of extra XP, levels 41 to 50 (the new high) will require the completion of particular missions. Niantic presents the following as "some of the necessary ones":

It is also scheduled for December a timed search, aimed precisely at helping you earn experience points. What can I say, from the little that we read in this table we can only enjoy the experience given while it lasts.

Friendship event

The very first opportunity to accumulate PE starts from tonight (November 18) at 22, and it is thefriendship event linked to this update GO Beyond. The experience points obtained through capture will in fact be doubled.

Until November 30th the game will consist of a faster advancement to the next levels, for those Trainers who are not yet at their best. Being an event linked to friends there will also be various advantages in this sense. Daily interaction with friends it will shorten your path to your best friend more than usual. You can also open more Friendship Packs than usual per day.

The bonus is also extended to raid boss. Here, your friendship will boost your respective Pokémon's attacks even more than usual, helping you complete the fight more effectively even in fewer numbers. The experience points you will get will also be increased, but it is not specified by how much. In short, hand on every raid ticket you can!

Kalos and the seasons system

The weather system is expanding. Welcome Seasons! Pokémon GO will reflect the real world even more, changing seasons every three months and based on the hemisphere. This means that too Pokémon will be affected: depending on the Season, for example, Deerling will have a different colored coat, and Pokémon that are more related to the time of the year will appear. Events will also reflect the change.

This functionality extends its influence even to mega-evolutions. The megaraids will first host Mega Pokémon linked to the season. Those that you megaevolvete, then, will be strengthened according to the same, helping you even more in the battles. The GO Battle League will also be themed accordingly, and the fight seasons will last throughout the current season (three months, therefore). Also remember that from Season 6 the PvP ranks will go from 10 to 24.

The first season will start on December 1st. This is the Holiday season. We will accompany Professor Willow around the world, retracing the history of the regions of the Pokémon world available. To those already available is also added Kalos, the stage for the adventures of the sixth generation Pokémon games. All events this season will be themed on one of the regions available in Pokémon GO.
