Despite the title's greater focus on the action component, Persona 5 Strikers however, it maintains in its DNA several references to the JRPG genre, so there will be references to elements or ai altered status and indeed, they will be essential to achieve a good knowledge of the game or compete in Difficult / Merciless mode.
So here is a guide that will explain everything you need to know about it, including how you can make the most of these mechanics to have an easy life against all opponents, be they standard enemies or bosses. For more information on Persona 5 Strikers, absolutely read ours complete guide.

The elements present
The elements are the categories to which all the elements of the game belong, and there will be a total of 11:
How to read weaknesses and resistances
It is not at all easy to understand the amount of detail that Persona 5 Strikers offers, especially if you are new. Long story short, every character has one series of weaknesses and resistances that you will need to consider during your gaming sessions.
Here are the terms to keep an eye on, especially when merging new Personaes for Joker:
- Absorbs: absorbing a type means that that type of attacks will heal instead of dealing damage.
- Resist: Significantly reduces the damage received by the indicated type.
- Weak: Significantly increases the damage received by the indicated type.
- Reject: Return the attack to the sender and you take zero damage.
- Nullifies: nothing happens, attack canceled.
The altered statuses and technical damages
You may have noticed in the table above that I specified a particular mechanic called Technical damage.
This is nothing more than an increase in damage that you will get if with specific elements you hit an enemy affected by as many specific ones Status Altered.
Statuses can be inflicted either by specific dedicated moves or by particular elements, and will inflict a secondary effect that can range from limiting movements to briefly enchanting the enemy etc.
Keep in mind that it is not only you who can inflict status, but they will also be applicable to your enemies.
As a last note, I just point out how essential it is to understand how elements, altered statuses, weaknesses and resistances work to complete both this game and all the others in the series, being exploited especially in Persona 5 basic and Royal in an extremely similar way.
So don't be afraid to exploit this knowledge if you want to try other Personas, and indeed, if Strikers has made you want to retrieve other chapters of the series, I actively encourage you to do so!
