How To Stop Facebook From Showing Painful Memories "It Happened Today". Not all memories are good. Facebook doesn't know this when it shows an old post or event with the function it calls It happened today.
Some memories (such as a snapshot of an ex-relationship or a photo of a loved one who has gone missing) can ruin the day. Here's how you can prevent them in the future.
How to personalize Facebook memories
Personalization of Facebook “It happens today” from a computer
- Go on Facebook. Type in It happened today in the search bar and hit enter.
- Click on Visit .
- Choose the button Pref Renze in the upper right corner of the page.
- The window of preferences about Happened Today offers you two filters to edit. Click Modification for both and choose specific people or dates you don't want to receive and view memories on.
- Click on end.
Personalize Facebook “Happened Today” from Facebook app on smartphone or tablet
- Tap the Menu icon in the upper right corner (the parallel lines).
- Scroll down to App and touch It happened today .
- Tap the icon in the form of gear at the top and choose Pref Renze . The same filters above allow you to exclude specific people or dates.
These changes should be enough to tell Facebook that you want to overcome some events in your life and therefore not to show them in the memory windows that appear sporadically in the news section.
