Persona 4 Golden Guide - Complete Guide to Kanji (Emperor) Social Link

One of the main features of the new Persona series titles are the so-called Social Link, i.e. relationships with various characters within the game to which different tarot cards are associated.

Spending time with them will raise the associated Social Link in rank, allowing us to obtain various bonuses useful for gameplay.

In this guide we will explain how to easily advance the Social Link of the arcane Emperor, associated with Kanji Tatsumi.

Personal profile

Kanji represents the stereotype of the Japanese thug hated in school, nothing particularly innovative. Actually Kanji easily gets into trouble as a self-defense system. From what? From any insults to his "particular" hobbies, such as sewing or cooking, which he fears to be feminine enough.

We are faced with a character who represses his passions for fear of being laughed at by others, situations that will surely sound familiar to many people.

Kanji's personality derives from this fear, which forces him to compensate with a hypermasculine attitude. Following some plot events, you will find out if he will be able to face this fear of his and above all what will happen at the end of his Social Link!

For the rest I can only tell you that he will have a special relationship with Naoto, a member of the team that you will see later.

I am of the opinion that to understand Kanji it is also necessary to understand and observe the particular relationship he has with Naoto, but I won't add anything else because you will have to see this!

Availability and location on the map

You will find Kanji in the Practice Building during the days of the week ea north of the Shopping District during holidays and Sundays.

To start his Social Link, wait until June 9th, then go to second floor of the Learning Building.

There you will find a student near the central stairs, who will tell you that Kanji is threatening some people.

You will find the guy at close-up of the Practice Building. Talk to him and select "Yes I do" to start the Social Link.

You will have time until 27 November to maximize this Social Link.

Social Link Skills

Reaching rank 10 will also allow Kanji to transform his Persona Take-Mikazuchi into Rokuten Maou, as well as unlocking the ability to obtain by merging Odin, the highest level Person in the arcane Emperor.

Furthermore, if he speaks to him after 10/1 having maximized his Social Link, Rokuten Maou will turn into Takeji Zaiten, learning the one move in the process The Man's Way (Chance to knock down all enemies and apply Dizzy status to them).
