An important novelty is about to reach Facebook and could forever upset the way you interact with comments on the social. This is not the first time they have been noticed by some users but this time the report comes from, which could indicate a more widespread rollout for testing.
What are we talking about? Of the anonymous votes, both positive and negative, for the comments in the groups of Facebook.
Soon you will be able to help the various communities you are a part of on Facebook voting comments within groups. With a short tutorial that will be shown to users who will gradually receive the new social function, Facebook will let you know that the votes are completely anonymous and have as their purpose the improvement of the discussion. It is therefore not like adding a “Like” or any other Reaction.
The new mechanics will be integrated showing two small arrows next to the now well-known "Like" button.
Once the button has been clicked (or touched, if you use the social network), a menu will be shown where you can evaluate the comment in question positively (up arrow) or negative (down arrow). In the event of a positive vote, another submenu will open in which you will be asked how the comment was useful to you.
Whoever voted will remain anonymous, while the votes will be visible to all group members.
As SmartWorld, source of the news, points out, the user who reported this new feature sent screenshots of the Facebook desktop site but was able to take advantage of the function in its entirety even from the mobile application.
Would you like to be able to be useful to the community in this way? Do you find that the fact that the votes are anonymous pushes users to help each other or do you think it can act as a shield to the now classic trolls or haters who hang out on the platform created by Mark Zuckerberg?
