How to protect Facebook from being hacked. To secure your Facebook account, you should consider using the two-factor authentication feature. With the feature enabled, every time someone logs into your account from an unknown device, Facebook asks for a 6-digit dynamic code that must be entered before anyone can log in. The code is sent to your phone number.
Enable facebook two-factor authentication
Log in and log into your Facebook account.
Click on the arrow icon at the top right of the screen and select the Settings option.
Select the option Security and access in the left bar.
On the right side of the window, scroll down to the section Configure additional security and click on the option Use two-factor authentication to expand it.
Click on the button Configure to activate this feature for your Facebook account. A small pop-up window will appear asking for confirmation of the two-factor authentication setup, which you need to click Configure second factors to proceed further.
Once the two-factor authentication option is enabled, click on the option Text message (SMS) · Add phone number. In the pop-up window, simply select the country code and fill in your phone number. A 6-digit code will be sent to the number provided whenever the account is used with an unknown device or browser.
When you click Continue, Facebook will send a code to the number indicated and you will need to provide the code on the next screen to prove that the number is actually yours.
After confirmation, the installation is complete.
Note: For an unknown access, the facebook app installed on your smartphone will inform you of the access through a notification you can immediately confirm that it was you and then access without a code or prevent access.
