Huami officially confirmed the release date of Amazfit X, a new device that represents a real meeting between a smartband and a smartwatch. A similar device, but not on the market, was shown last summer. The brand had stated that a version available for purchase would arrive soon.
The promise has been kept: the company specializing in smart wearable has announced that Amazfit X will arrive next 28th April on Indiegogo. The well-known crowdfunding platform was therefore chosen for the distribution. The main feature is it curved screen. There will be a 2,07-inch AMOLED display and curved at 92 °.
The pixel density will be 326 PPI a la brightness will come up to 430 thread. This should guarantee excellent visibility even in the presence of an excessive amount of light (being a device designed to be used outdoors, this is a very interesting feature). The curved glass, enclosed in a metal body, is 12,5mm thick and there is also a pressure sensitive key.
Under the body we find a motherboard which, to be compatible with the form factor of the wearable device, is divided into 3 segments. The battery can count on a maximum capacity of 220 mAh (the manufacturer promises an autonomy of 7 days). There will be several sensors, including heart rate monitoring, and numerous features, such as receiving notifications.
Unknown, for the moment, the launch price and details on the distribution. We just have to wait further information.
