In Nioh 2 there are many demons to face, scattered over numerous levels and closely linked to the conformation of the area. Collect all Yokai and beating them gives the exterminator a dedicated trophy, however there are some examples that are different from the others. Often, in fact, they are not even really enemies, as long as they go along with their characteristic mechanics.

Below we have therefore decided to tell you how to deal with and where to find Yokai speciali, so that not a single page of your demonic collection is missing.

Nurikabe

I Nurikabe sono dei illusory walls that blend in with the environment. Their disguise would be perfect were it not for two slits that hide the eyes of the spirit, to be opened as soon as someone approaches. Behind each Nurikabe there are several treasures that you should aspire to, such as a Hot Spring, a Kodama or a chest. There are two ways to find a Nurikabe: the first is that front, that is seeing a wall with two strange indentations on the top, while the second is to note a pergamen onmyo strangely positioned on a surface, which in this case will be the Nurikabe's back.

When you meet him from behind, just pull away the seal to "defeat" him, while from the front you will need to pass a test. By opening the gesture menu, you will have two possibilities to please the Yokai e guess your favorite color from it: one between yellow, red and blue. If you guess right, it will let you pass right away. On the contrary, if you fail, you will have to face the Yokai and deal with its overwhelming strength. Fortunately, many times a Revenant's tomb near the Nurikabe can signal a color that led to someone else's death, thus giving you a 100% chance to pass smoothly by exclusion. The Nurikabe are found in many levels, you will have no problem finding at least one in history even just by exploring.

Mujina

This Yokai is one of the rarest and its spawn is totally random every time a chest is opened. The Mujina in fact live in the prize boxes and comes out when someone tries to open them as the player usually does. To fight he transforms into whoever has lifted the lid, but not before testing him in a mime competition. In fact the way to overcome the Mujina and let him go away happy is to copy the gesture it will make as soon as it comes out of the box, fulfilling his desire to see someone imitate people as he does. Making him angry though, he will attack you with your own moveset as if you were facing your Revenant. After all, fulfilling the request will give you more loot, so there's really no need to fight it!

Biwa boku-boku

This is the most annoying of the special Yokai. The Biwa boku-boku is a demonic monk who can be recognized by the sound of the instrument he holds with him. In addition to creating distinctive melodies, its effect allows it to instantly summon any revenant close to him, making any area full of graves around him a hell of a lot. Having no offensive capacity, its only form of defense is to be in a point of the map that is very uncomfortable to reach and often elevated, forcing you to die overwhelmed by enemies Yokai and Revenants. You will meet him a few times but we can assure you: all his appearances will be in the worst possible points. Prepare yourself.

Kappa and Kappa Rosso

The Kappa are famous beings of Japanese folklore, shown here with a glittering golden shield. Evasive, if killed they give a lot of rewards as long as you run after them and prevent them from running away on sight. If you have enemy perception, usually the Kappas are shown with larger red dots than the others, as well as being quite visible to the naked eye thanks to their natural sparkle. THE Kappa rossi are a variant of this Yokai, present in a particular level towards the end of the game. However, the latter are in an area located under a bridge where you will face a boss who shares the iconic shell, so when that happens remember to explore the areas near the fight.
