Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: all the codes for the Secret Gift and how to redeem them

On this page you will find all the active promotional codes and gifts from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Secret Gift feature and how to redeem them.

As per tradition in the Game Freak series, too Pokémon Scarlet and Violet offer players a series of gifts thanks to the Secret Gift function, through promotional codes distributed via The Pokémon Company's official social channels, stores and so on. Among the bonuses we find sets of useful objects, ingredients for sandwiches or even special Pokémon, such as Pikachu with Flying Teratype.

In this article we have listed all promotional codes for the Secret Gift of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, both those currently valid a February 2023, than those distributed in the past and no longer active. Furthermore, for budding trainers in the next section we will also explain how to unlock the Secret Gift function in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and how to redeem the gifts offered.

How to unlock the Secret Gift in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and how it works

The Secret Gift function is not available immediately, but only after reaching a certain point in the story of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and unlocked the Poképortal. Luckily it doesn't take long, just an hour or so into the game, depending on your pace.

To be precise, just advance until you reach the first Pokémon Center in the game in Platia Orientale and talk to the clerk. Once done you will unlock the Poképortal, which includes various features including the Secret Gift.

access the Secret Gift just press X to open the pause menu, choose the "Poképortal" item and then "Secret Gift". Once done you will find the two options: "Via Internet" and "Via serial code/password"

"Through the Internet" allows you to redeem the various bonus packs, Pokémon and free tools that Game Freak periodically distributes that do not require any password, such as the Pikachu with Flying Teratype. To obtain them, simply activate the game's internet connection (which happens automatically by clicking on this option) and then select the item you are interested in from those available.

With "By serial code/password" instead you can redeem gifts by entering the promotional codes received as pre-order bonuses and the promotional ones shared periodically via the game's virtual keyboard. The Pokémon Company distributes new passwords periodically, so bookmark this page, which we will constantly update with available passwords.

Keep in mind that the Secret Gift requires you to connect your Nintendo Switch to the Internet. Unlike the other features of the Poképortale, a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required and therefore it is completely free.
