The solution is based on the American version of the game, so there may be differences for the Spanish version.
Chapter 1: Awakening of the Rebels
The beginning of this Final Fantasy II is very similar to the first one, the graphics are practically the same. However, there are many new features that I will tell you as you progress through the game.> Br> Choose your characters, give them the names you like and let's start playing. After the presentation you will have to deal immediately with the imperial guards and I am sorry for you but you can make as much effort as you want to beat them you will not succeed. After the incredible blow you will wake up in a bed in an unknown room and with people you have never seen before.
You will wake up and meet your two adventure companions (the fourth will arrive much later) then you will go straight to Princess Hilda who is the person who saved your life. You will ask her to join the rebels but the answer will be no, talk to her again and memorize the password she will tell you (Wild Rose). Ask him for the password to know that the fourth member of the group, Leon is in Flynn, another city.
Finish talking to the princess and look left to see a chest, open it and you will earn a potion. Exit the castle and go directly to the city of Altair.
As for the other Final Fantasy, here too you will have to take all the equipment possible and buy the spells you need, also the best thing to do at the beginning is to get out of the city and start getting some experience.
Obligatory at the beginning is to buy the Healing spell that you will need throughout the game.
Without the necessary expenses, you are ready to go outside and head to the charming city of Gatera. Go up, cross the bridge and you will see it, it is a small town that will serve you to cure yourself if you need it, there are no other things to do here so you can leave it and go left.
Soon you will see a huge lake that you will have to circumnavigate for now, go up and then left, as soon as you have the chance go down and you will see the mythical (so to speak) Fynn castle.
Be very careful in this town, you absolutely must avoid talking to the guards that are in town, if you do you will die immediately because they are too strong for you.
The only thing you can do for now is to end up in the village pub, to do so go up and just before the end of the town you will have to turn right, then down and you will find it.
Inside the pub there will be a lot of Empire soldiers that you absolutely must avoid, the only person who is not a soldier is in the upper right corner, go and talk immediately.
Tell him the Password learned from the princess and he will move from where he was and will allow you to enter a secret place.
Examine the room and take the three Potions that are inside the three chests, talk now to the guy in bed and tell him the Password, after a sad story he will give you a Ring. Here you are done, run back to Altair.
Remember that from now on you can use the Final Fantasy II World Map. Just hold down the B button and press Select (I don't say that anymore).
Have you arrived in Altair? Have you rested well? Ok it's time to get back to work ... er to our game. Go directly into the princess's house and from here into the throne room. Show the Ring to the princess and she will understand that her love Scott is dead, sad for the news but happy for your skill will allow you to join the rebels.
The next mission that the sweet princess will give you will be to recover the metal Mythril (memorize the word MYTHRIL). Now talk to the guy next to the beauty and you will discover that he is Minwu, a very powerful wizard (let's say good). After the chat he will join you and will also provide you with a very important Canoe (with which you can sail in rivers or lakes).
Speak once more to memorize another important word: DREADNOUGHT, an Airship. Ask him about this Dreadnought and you will receive another important word: AIRSHIP (I had anticipated it), you will discover that this is commanded by the very famous Captain Cid (who will appear in many of the following Final Fantasy series).
Get out of here and let's get started with the action !!!
Your next destination will be the Port of Paloom, to get there you will have to go up and pass Gatera until you find the lake, you will automatically use the Canoe and you can cross it, always go to the right and you cannot go wrong because after a few moments the city of Paloom.
Check the merchandise that is in this town and then talk to the sailor who is immediately near the entrance, he will offer you a ride on the ship for little money, accept and then leave the city and take the ship. You will arrive in Poft immediately. You don't need to browse the shops in the city, in fact it has the same items that are found in Paloom. Go to the pub immediately and talk to Cid, he will offer you his services to get around in his Airship (no need for now).
Exit the city and go up until you see a series of snow capped mountains, go left and you will find a new city: Salamand.
Finally in this city you will find the equipment you dreamed of, something good even if not really cheap (the Long Sword is a must). Talk to the people of the village and then go to the house on the right, go inside and talk to him about Mythril and he will tell you that he knows where he is but he will only tell you if you save the hostages that are at the waterfall.
Exit the village and head left, go through the mountains and then go down until you see the sea on the left and a river, enter the river with your Canoe and jump to the right. Soon you will see a lake with a waterfall, now skirt the mountains to the north and you will see the cave where you have to enter. Finally the first Dungeon has arrived !!!
DUNGEON 1: CAVE OF THE WATERFALL
Here we are at the first Dungeon, nothing exceptional to tell the truth but if you have not trained outside the cities the first problems will begin. Enter and forget the Blue Crystal that you will find inside, it is not yet its time. Continue to the fork and then go left to find a chest with some Money. Go back and at the crossroads take the road that goes down, another crossroads where on the right you will find more money while on the left there will be the stairs to the second floor.
Puddles of water for this level, go up and left to find an Eyedropper, in the lower right corner you will find a Potion instead and upwards in the same area another Potion, fight to the top corner. right and soon you will be faced with four doors: Which will be the right one? Easy, the first on the left, in the others there are empty rooms with dangerous monsters (if you want to gain experience, take a seat).
Two incredibly ridiculous treasures here, down a chest with Soldi (few) and other Soldi left after the bridge (always few). There are a lot of fake doors in this level that you won't have to take, the right one will be the one on the far left of the level, so you'll have to go all the way to the end (don't fool programmers). Guess who you will find inside? Well done, you hit the mark, the hostages.
Talk to the most important one of them (Pavel) and they'll go back home. Follow them if you need treatment and if not take the stairs on your right.
Continue your exploration of the Dungeon by crossing the first bridge and you will find a nice gift: A Tome of Fire. Go on until the next fork and go up, cross the bridge until you find a wooden door, do not enter if you do not want to face very dangerous creatures that could eliminate you in a single moment (fear is not it? But the experience ...), walk around it instead until you find the stairs to the fifth floor.
In this floor you will have to choose if you want the Teleportation Tome (useful but not essential) or if you can do without it. If you want you will have to go all over the bridge and as soon as you see the chest, go around the top and get there from behind. Heal, save and get ready to face a monster as soon as you open the chest. The monster you will meet is an armored turtle that as a turtle has a very strong defense and physical attacks will do absolutely nothing. What to do? Use magic, the ice one best of all and beat this monster (it won't be easy for this reason I told you it's not really worth it).
If you have undertaken this grind you can now go back to the entrance to the level and then go up and enter the door on the left. Go up the stairs.
Heal and save, do you see the monster looking at you in front of the chest? Yes, you are the first Boss in the game, good luck.
BOSS : SERGEANT (HP : 140)
Also for this Boss like the turtle before the physical attacks are practically useless, if you have trained a lot and your level is high you can try but if not, forget it. Use the spells you have and tell your White Wizard to heal the whole group every turn in order to keep the health level high, use Shield on the whole group and the Boss hits will do less harm. Watch out for his bow which is lethal.
After defeating him you will have your treasure: The Mythril !!!
Teleport out of here (or if you haven't, make your way back to the beginning) and return to Altair (heal in every city when you need to) but eventually you will start the new Chapter right in Altair.
Capitolo 2 : Dreadnought
Once in Altair go immediately and talk to the princess, show him the Mythril and after his enthusiasm he will tell you that Tobul the blacksmith of the city can turn it into precious weapons. Go out and head to the weapon shop, talk to Tobul and show him the Mythril, it will make some very powerful weapons for you who unfortunately have only one problem: They cost too much !!!
Get out of the city and fight the monsters to get some money, when you have the amount you need go back to the blacksmith and buy the weapons for your warriors (do it you will not regret it).
Well after you have strengthened, it's time to have a chat with the princess again, talk about the DREADNOUGHT and she will assign you a new mission, to take down this giant of the sky.
Leave the city and head to the city of Bafsk, you don't know where it is? I'll tell you quiet. Go back to Paloom and pay the sailor to take you to Poft. When you arrive here you can take two routes: Go to the pub and talk to Cid, pay and head to Bafsk by Airboat (easy way) or leave the city and go right and near a small mountain you will find her (medium but experienced route).
Whatever your choice you have now arrived in the city of Basfk.
You will not have to do a lot of shopping here if you have followed my advice and have Mythril weapons, in fact if you are so equipped you will already have weapons superior to those you will find in the shops. You don't need spells as long as you have the White Wizard with you, only take them if you want to collect them all.
Don't be afraid to talk to the guards, they are not dangerous and they won't attack you, the person you need to talk to to continue is in the lower left corner, ask him about the DREADNOUGHT and he will let you pass to the next dungeon.
DUNGEON 2: BASFK CAVE
Quick and easy this Dungeon, do not expect gifts like this from this game so take advantage of it.
Advance in the level and at the fork go up to find a Great Sword, pass the block and go down until you find another fork, continue to find a Great Arch, go back to the fork and use the stairs to continue to the second level.
A real maze this level, go right to the end and then go up and right again until you find a knight barring your way, you will see the Dreadnought scene ready for action and it will fly away from you. under the nose. Go back inside the quarry and go right again to find a door, go through it and you will find a chest, inside there will be a very precious object: A PASS. But to do what? Patience friends, patience. Go out of the dungeon and rest in the city of Basfk, then return to Altair.
To get to Altair you will have to go through Poft, here go to the pub and talk to Cid, he will give you a new important word: SUNFIRE. Store it and return to Altair.
As soon as you arrive you will see that the population has disappeared and the village is seriously damaged, the enemy ship is already in action. Talk to the princess but first remove all the equipment of the White Wizard, in fact he is about to leave you. After the conversation and abandonment by the Wizard, talk to the princess of the SUNFIRE and you will have a new mission to accomplish. Leave the room and go to the room where the king was hospitalized, talk to him about the SUNFIRE and you will receive a new word: GODDESS BELL (memorize it) which will serve you in your mission.
Go back to the princess and use the new word you just picked up and you will find that what you are looking for is in the snow north of Salamand, that is your next goal.
Make your way to Salamand and once inside go straight into the house on your right. Talk to Josef and ask him about the GODDESS BELL, he will tell you that the only way to get to the cave where the bell is located will be to have a Snowcraft (snow sled). Where is it? Obviously at the waterfall dungeon (how lucky huh?), Josep will join you (equip him well) and then head to the cave.
Enter the cave and head to where the Blue Crystal is (I told you you would come back), now go against the top wall and then go against the right wall to find a secret room! Inside you will find a chest, open it and you will have your Snowcraft.
Little trick:
Like the ship in Final Fantasy I even if you use the sled you will have a mini-game that you can play, hold X and press O 22 times to make it appear. It is a kind of memory that if completed in a certain time will give you huge sums of money and important items.
Now with your new item you will have to go up (to the left of Salamand) until you see the mountains, between two mountain ranges you will find an outlet with some snow, go there and automatically you will get on the Snowcraft, go right up to to that you will not come to a cave, it is the new Dungeon.
DUNGEON 3: ICE Quarry
Linear first floor, follow the obligatory path and stop to take the two chests along the way, they are Money, nothing special. At the end of the path there will be stairs to the next level.
Level full of treasures that you will not be able to take yet, the only one is to go on up to the stairs, the door you see leads nowhere.
Finally something to do, go left and you will find a chest with powerful magic. Go back and go down, another fork will open up ahead, go up and you will go back downstairs but you can get three items from the chests: A Battle Ax, an Antidote and a Mace of Mythril (eye that this item is protected by a monster). Now go back to the first floor and at the crossroads take the path that leads down, stairs and new level.
Go to the top left for a chest with a Potion, to the right of the chest another with an Ice Tome, go down and you will find two more items: Potion and Mythril Spear. Once this is done, go to the lower right corner, pass the door without entering and take the stairs.
Make the path all the way to the left to get the Mythril Shield and then drop down to get the Ancient Sword (monster to be eliminated). At the bottom right you will find the stairs to the next level.
In this floor you will find only giant beavers, go up and talk to the lonely one, you will find that Guy can talk to them and he will tell you that the passage to the next level is in the upper right corner. Go there to access the final level.
Follow the path to the end, along the way you will find a chest with a Silver Armor, use it now because it is very powerful. At the end of the path you will find a nice creature on a staircase. He is the Boss of this Dungeon ready to wait for you!
BOSS : ADAMANTOISE (HP : 450)
This Boss is still the same turtle, a little stronger but the procedure is the same. Avoid the physical attacks and focus on the magical ones. Of all the spells the strongest is undoubtedly the one of ice that you will use as often as possible. If you have serious problems you can use the magic contained in the Notus object, taken some time before. Don't worry it will be easy.
After defeating the beast, go up the stairs and you will find the Bell you were looking for, enter the door and you will magically return to the first floor. Stop where you are, you have to do some things before continuing, in the meantime remove all the weapons and armor from Josef, yes unfortunately he will abandon you in a few moments. Second thing heal and save because while you go to the exit someone will block the passage.
BOSS : BORGHEN (240HP)
Few HP for this Boss and therefore very few problems, attack him normally and in a couple of turns he will drop dead.
After the death of the shady figure you will witness a rather particular skit, at the end of the skit your friend Josef will go to the other world and you will not be able to do anything about it. Go out and go to the nearest town (Salamand) for treatment.
Go back to the town of Poft and with the money in your possession take all the equipment you need, go to Cid and ask him to go to Kashuan, pay him and in a flash you will find yourself in a ... Dungeon!
DUNGEON 4: KASHUAN CASTLE
Terrible monsters await you here, much more powerful than those of the previous dungeon, I hope you are well equipped and your levels are high because it will be tough.
Go up and you will find the Sunfire, the problem is that you will not be able to handle it except with the torch that is on the top floor of the Dungeon (usual luck). Continue behind the Sunfire to find a door that you can unlock with the Bell you found in the Dungeon earlier (since you needed it?).
In this floor you will immediately find Gordon, a member of the royal family of Kashuan who will join you in your adventure, an extra companion is always comfortable, equip him well I recommend.
Back on the first level, head down and you'll find a chest with a Tome of Healing. Give it to Gordon right away because he will surely have a much lower level than yours and his HP will be terribly low. Continue in that direction until you find another couple of stairs.
Second level, follow the instructions because it is very easy to get lost and random encounters are numerous and dangerous. Take the first street that goes down and then right, follow it until the street goes up, follow it and you will come to a chest with some money. Continue to the left until you can turn right, do so and you will come to the stairs.
Third level and the stairs are exactly on the opposite side of where you are, go around the room until you see some columns, take the passage on the second column and you will come to a chest with a Gold Shield (monster). Return to the main room and take the path to the right that goes down, more stairs and another level.
Left and then down, enter the door and you will have 3 treasures: Werebane, Mythril Sword and Mythril Ax (a nice loot), go left and you will find the stairs to the next floor.
Walk to the center of the room and you will find there a chest with a great Golden Armor, the only problem the monster that will attack you will be very strong so take care of yourself and save (watch out when it uses self-destruct). Now go to the top right and enter the room for more treasures: Antidote, Potion, Eye Drops. The level exit is located in the lower left corner.
Here it is the Boss finally (what did you think a Dungeon without a Boss? Deluded), heal, save and fight.
BOSS : ANIMA ROSSA (HP 540)
Now they are in pain, I very much hope that your health is good because the Boss has a good number of HP and a lot of arrows in his bow to hurt you a lot. Thunder, Poison, Fire and Ice all at level 8 and will use them until he runs out of his MP (he runs out of them sooner or later). Other news you need to know, if you try to attack the Boss with magic attacks you will cure him !!! Terrible right? Now comes the trick, the Boss will only be able to attack with magic attacks for the first four turns, then he will hit you with ridiculous physical attacks. For the first four turns heal yourself and try to stay alive, if you can it's done, hit him with physical attacks until he dies.
Eliminated the Boss you can open the chest behind him and take the Torch, teleport out of the Dungeon and then return, use the Torch with the Sunfire and you will have finished your mission. Go out and see a skit with Cid as the protagonist, then the dilemma, how to get back to Altair?
Quiet I'm here for this, go up and then right, when you see a mountain on your left take that direction, continue up to find the city of Basfk, heal yourself and then return to Altair.
Go immediately to the royal palace and look for the princess, strangely she will not be there and therefore there is no other solution to go to the king's room, talk to the White Wizard and he will tell you that the Dreadnought has stopped to refuel but does not know. where (very useful). Talk around but the only one who can really give you the hints is the elf in the main room. The ship is behind Fynn and that's where you need to go.
Long and dangerous road this, from Altair go to Gatera and then use the Canoe to pass the lake that takes you to Fynn, do not stop but continue upwards until you find a circle of trees with the Dreadnought in the middle. Found it!
Save and enter the new Dungeon (in this Chapter there are many).
DUNGEON 5 : DREADNOUGHT
As soon as you enter you will be immediately blocked by a Knight, here you will have two possibilities, fight him or show him the Pass. I recommend the second one because a fight with this guy is really not recommended, 750HP and shots that kill you instantly! Give him the Pass and enter the room.
Full of enemies here so do not talk to anyone, go to the top left for a chest with money, now examine the room and you will see three stairs that you can take, go first in the one in the center guarded by two guards, pass it and make yourself the small passage to find the Sleep Sword.
Next step is to go up the main stairs and then go right and then the first right again which goes down, follow the passage up to a door, go through it and you will be on the second level.
As soon as you are there you will immediately have a crossroads, go left and you will still find a crossroads, take the one on the left and you will find a chest with a Dark Arch. Go back and at the fork go right, continue to the next intersection, go left again and you will find some Thief's Gloves. Now go back to the main path and go right, go a long way and at the end you will find two items: Potion and Super Potion. Near where you found the Thief Gloves (the room next to the right) you will find Cid and the Princess, open the door and talk to Cid, he will tell you to go to the top floor while he takes the Princess out (your attempts to make exchange with Cid are useless).
Go back to the main street and go all the way to find the stairs to the next level. The third will be very fast, just long enough to pass the green door and you will be on the fourth.
Walk to the center of the room, you will see stairs leading to the fifth floor. Wait before taking them, there are some interesting objects here, there are 4 and they are all guarded by the Giants of the Hills (very dangerous). Save before starting the hunt and heal yourself, then go around the room from left to right to get: Trident, Armor, Ice Shield and Helm of the Giants. After shopping and recovering your energy, you can go to the fifth floor.
Go through the room with the robots and then enter the maze with the knights. The way would be easy if there were not these idiots to block the way, the only choice is to bypass them with a different path. Here is the way you will have to take from the first fork: Up, Up, Left, Down, Down, Right, Down, Right, Right, Right, Right, Up, Right, Up, Up, Left, Left, Down, Right, Down, Left, Up.
It is more tiring to write it than to do it, I can assure you. At the end you will see the heart of the Dreadnaught, plant the bomb (yes that thing you got from the Dungeon earlier) and enjoy the cutscene. For the record, during the confusion Maria will hear her brother's voice (the plot gets complicated). Well now you have to go back to Altair and start the new Chapter.
Chapter 3: The King's Last Words And Wyverns
Remove all the paraphernalia from Gordon because he will soon leave the group, heal yourself, rest and as soon as you are ready go to the king's room. You will witness his last words; Gordon Captain of the army, the White Wizard in search of the Last Tome and you around the world trying to recruit people (always laboring us). Go to the throne room and talk to Gordon, write down the word DRAGONS and then ask him to get another word VIVERNA (Flying Dragon). Memorize it and remember that to get to Deist you will have to go to Paloom and look for a boat (yours).
As soon as you enter Paloom you will see a new female presence, talk to her and she will offer you a ride to Deist, absolutely free. Accept (despite Maria's grievances) and then leave the town and go to the top right of the ship, as soon as you set foot on the ship you will be attacked by 8 pirates ready to kill you (Maria was right !!!). Eliminate them easily and you will gain the ship you can control and a fourth member will join your party. Yes, the girl you met in Paloom! (Her name is Leila for the record).
Now you will have to look for Deist but where? Deist is located on a small island off the coast of the city of Bafsk. From where you fought with the pirates, head down and then right into the snowy mountains. Keep navigating down and you will soon arrive in Deist (if you have problems use the B + SELECT map).
Enter the castle and you will meet a child, talk to him and he will escape into the maze of the castle. Follow it to get to the second floor and go left to take a cottage, now all right and go down by taking the stairs that will take you back to the first level. Go down, pass the first door without going through it and enter the second there will be three treasures: Stun Tome, Stop Tome and Curse Tome. Go on and at the end of the room you will be rewarded by another object (Horn of the Unicorn). Go back to the fork at the top and jump left, go through the door and you will be submerged by chests !!! : Golden Needle, Eye Drops, Antidote, Staff of the Sage, Cross, Holy Spirit, Hammer and a Winged Sword. Go back to the first floor and go down to find mother and son, pass them and enter the stairs that will lead you to another gift: Phoenix Down.
Go back and talk to the woman of the Dragons and the Wyverns, she will tell you that the last Wyvern is behind the door but to talk to her you must necessarily have a medallion which is in a cave nearby. The only thing you can do is go out and head up to find the cave and a new dungeon.
DUNGEON 6: DEIST CAVE
As soon as you enter you will see a chest with some Money, take it and then follow the path behind the chest to find the stairs to the next level.
You are lucky because after a few steps you will see something on the ground, pick it up and you will get hold of the medallion that the woman spoke to you. Go back to the castle and go through the door behind the woman, talk to the dragon and he will give you the Dragon Egg and tell you to put it in the spring inside the cave from before (it seemed too easy a dungeon right?). Exit and return to the cave. Now comes the hard part, the Dungeon has an incredible variety of monsters, from simple ones to real giants that are difficult to take down.
Avoid the path taken the first time and focus on the other two, the one on the left will take you to some treasures but not the Boss while the one on the right will be the right one. Where to go? Obvious it seems to me, first to the left and then to the right :)
Go left and get the Potion from the chest, then proceed to the next level.
This floor has nothing, follow the path to the next stairs.
Another path without treasures, long but linear, at the last crossroads go up to find the stairs.
Here it is the room of wonders! Advance into the room to the end and then go right, there are 4 treasures for you: Fire Bow, Magic Staff, Holy Spirit and defended by strong turtles (heal and save) you will also find a Knight's Armor. Now you have to go back to the first floor, yes, you got it right, to the first !!! Teleport if you want and go get somewhere to heal yourself, I'm waiting for you here.
Go right at the fork and take the path down to add A Helm of Mythril to your collection. The path leading up will take you to a Mythril Armor, continue right to another fork, head down to get a Magician's Staff and then back up and down the stairs again.
Don't cross the bridge but go up and get some Mythril Gloves and Mythril Mirror. Avoid the bridge like the plague because it is broken and will make you fall back into the dungeon. Go back to the previous level which is the correct path.
Go left and as soon as you can up to take the right stairs to the next level. In the bridge level, head up to get the Mythril Shield and then follow the path until you get to the fourth floor.
The stairs to the fifth and last level are visible, first go up for an item and then grab them.
Here we are at the Boss finally, in front of you you will find 4 doors, which will be the right one? Heal, save and then slip into the second from the right.
BOSS: CHIMERE (240HP Each)
You need luck for this Boss, in fact the number of Chimera that can happen to you is random, from 1 to 4. If you see that you can't defeat them, reload the game and try until a single Chimera appears, it will be much easier. Use defense spells because their Blaze spell is deadly dangerous, the spells don't do much against them and it's advisable to all focus on one and kill it and then move on to the next.
After defeating them you will put the Egg in the water and you can exit the Dungeon and return to Deist Castle.
Go to the Wyvern that will have disappeared, never mind now that you have placed the Egg sooner or later something will happen. Head back to Altair which begins the new chapter.
Chapter 4: Abduction!
Go to the Hotel and save, then head to the throne room and talk a little with everyone to find out that the princess is acting strange, go to her room which is under the king's room and talk to her. After a particular skit you will have to deal with another Boss.
BOSS : LAMIA QUEEN (1290 HP)
Many HP and he is very strong physically, it will not be easy to take out this monster, he will attack you by taking away a lot of HP and in addition he will fall asleep, not bad for a damsel. Just attack her, resurrect her partner if she dies and then give her a good reason until she falls to the ground.
When the Boss is dead one question will haunt your mind, where is the real princess? Gordon will arrive and give you some shocking news, a tournament is underway in Palamecia and the first prize will be the princess !!!
You will lose Leila in your group but you will gain Gordon and in my opinion you will lose in aesthetics and gain in strength.
The city of Palamecia is located immediately below that of Kashuan, take your beautiful ship and look on the map where Kashuan is, immediately below you will see a small bay where you can leave the ship. On the left you will find a large desert and in the middle the city of Palamecia, you can go there either from above or from below but it will still be a nice walk.
As soon as you enter the Colosseum go to the stairs that are in the center until you see a throne and a guy sitting on it, after a few words he will throw at you a huge monster that is also the Boss that you will have to face.
BOSS : BEHEMOTH (HP : 1620)
No strategy for this Boss, he is actually a weak monster that with your physical attacks you will immediately eliminate. Heal if he hits you and kill him as soon as possible.
After the battle you will go and talk to the Emperor, you will fight with him and after a short fight he will flee like a rabbit. You won't have time to chase him though because 4 knights will catch you and put you in the next dungeon.
DUNGEON 7: COLOSSEUM
You are in your cell and you are thinking of a way out of here, nothing comes to mind? Not even us so without the help of that funny Pavel you would have stayed there a lifetime. Okay, it's time to go get the sweet girl.
Before the princess, however, there are the objects that you can take, go right to the end and you will find an Antidote, go back and go up, then right and right again to get in front of a door. Enter and take: Ether, Elixir and Villetta. Once this is done you can go back and exit the stairs at the top right.
Make your way up until you see the sweet princess captive, go down and make the passage to the cell, press the action button on the shutter and you will free Hilda. Gordon will leave your party to be with the princess and you just have to go left to the next floor.
Go outside and return to your ship, heal if necessary, but the next step in the adventure is simply returning to Altair.
You will find the city empty and the royal palace with no one, ask the guy who is near the bridge to know that everyone has moved near the city of Fynn for an attack. Go to Gathera and then left and you will find your friends, talk to Gordon and he will explain everything, go to Castle Di Fynn and get ready for the Dungeon.
DUNGEON 8: FYNN CASTLE
As soon as you arrive you can try to kill the guards you will find in the village, in fact they practically have the same level as those in the Dungeon, after training go on until you find a dear friend of yours inside the castle, Leila who will immediately join the group.
Before starting a small clarification, the level of the monsters here is very high and you will often clash with wizards, sorcerers and creatures who use all kinds of magic, be very careful and save often and willingly.
The stairs to the second floor you can see them but first a couple of treasures, at the top right you will find two chests with money, now jump left and then down to find some stairs, use them to finish at the third level, go down the street and then go right into a narrow passage, here you will find 3 other treasures: Tomo Fermata, Tomo Morte and Tomo Rana. Now go back the right way and use the stairs to the second level.
Here too, to get to the third level, all you have to do is continue straight, but here there are some excellent items that are worth recovering. Go left and you will find a Tomo Aura and down a Werebane.
Go back and go right, you will immediately find a Potion while just to the right of the chest with the Potion you can pass a ghost wall and recover some Titan Gloves. Go back and slip into the third level.
Finally some peace, go straight to the fourth level.
Heal yourself, save and then move on up to the throne, there is a Boss to face and it is also quite bad.
BOSS : GOTTOS (HP : 2000)
You are faced with a strong character and a turning point in the game, a mountain of HP for him that you will have to remove from him with patience and tenacity. There are two things you need to know, he will attack you with his sword and take away a lot of HP but only one of you, immediately heal the injured and restart the attack, two small tricks, he is vulnerable to both Blindness and Sleep . Use them both on him and you will soon see him die the way he deserves. Also be very careful of the henchmen he brings with him, they are very dangerous.
Once the Boss is dead there will be no more monsters in the castle so you can rest assured, the Princess and Gordon will soon arrive and take possession of the Castle, talk to them to collect 4 keywords: Mysidia, Mask, Tomo Ultima and Ekmet Teloez. Exit and return to the village of Fynn to find that all the bad guys who haunted the city have disappeared and you can finally use the Hotel and the various shops in the city. Do the shopping as is appropriate and then continue the adventure, Gordon will have told you that Pavel is the one who knows the secret of the Mask, go and find him inside the house located in the lower left corner. Talk to him about the password (Ekmet Teloez) and he will tell you a secret. The place you will need to find is in the throne room, in the upper right corner!
DUNGEON 9: UNDERGROUND OF FYNN CASTLE
Go up to the throne room and merge in the upper right corner, press the action button and you will have to say the password Ekmet Teloez to be able to pass and start the Dungeon.
Weak enemies in this Dungeon so you don't have to worry too much, go down to the right to get a Knife, then always to the right but up an Eyedropper and in the center at the level of the Clothes. At the top left you will find the level exit.
Another level with useless objects but to finish it at 100% you will have to take them, top left corner an Ether, bottom left a Potion, top right a Frog Kiss and in the last bottom right corner the exit for the following plan.
Lower right corner Super Potion, lower left Fire Shield and upper left corner a Web, the stairs to the level are just below.
Another level full of gifts, at the first fork go right for a Staff of Power (eye to the monster), head now in the center of the room and take the upper right path for an Armor of Fire, in the lower right there are the stairs but first stop and get the Wolf Fangs.
Here you will have to be careful, advance in the level and take the third path on the right, soon you will find a chest with the Sword Orichalcum inside, a very large sword that is guarded by a new type of rather tough monster (many HP and good armor).
Now go to the right and you will see lots of doors but only one is the right one, which one? Veil I say, go to the top right and take the second door from the right. Grab the last item, The White Mask and sprint upward entering the portal that will take you out of the Dungeon and straight to the Fifth Chapter.
Chapter 5: Mask Problems
Like any self-respecting Chapter you will have to immediately talk to the Princess and then after the speech head to Mysidia. To get there you will have to follow my instructions to the letter.
Open the map and find Altair, from there go down until you find a new Continent, here you will find two cities marked with two dots, the top one is Mysidia. You can also do it on foot but I highly recommend using your beautiful ship. As soon as you enter you will discover a beautiful city. I'm not saying aesthetically, I'm saying that here you will find the best equipment in the game and all the game's spells that have appeared so far (except the Ultimate Tome of course).
Good shopping and when you are done talk to the inhabitants of the Last Tome and they will tell you about a mysterious island in the middle of the sea. Now go to the stairs that will take you down, here there will be a statue with a deity, use the White Mask here and see what happens, obviously you will miss the other mask to continue.
Go back to the ship and go down, pass the S-shaped channel and if you look at the map you will see a tiny spot in the middle of the sea, that's your goal and your next dungeon.
DUNGEON 10: MYSTERIOUS ISLAND
Nothing interesting on this island, the monsters are very weak and you just have to take a nice walk nothing more.
Advance until you find the first chest with the first item: an Eye Drop. Go to the top right and you will find two Super Potions, then down again until you receive an Ether. Now you have to go to the lower left to get some Silk and then to the upper left will be the stairs to the next level.
Immediately on the left you will find a Plant and as you advance you will find several natives who will advise you against taking the mask, do not care and continue. Now go back and take the path to the right, on the way to the stairs of the third level you will find chests with these items: Tome of Punishment (x2), Tome Blindness. At the top right you will find another Blindness Tome and further north the stairs.
Quick plan, head down for a Garlic and then follow the passage upstairs to the fourth level stairs.
In this level there are four stairs that lead to as many treasures, from where you entered go down to take the first ones that lead to a Phoenix. Go back and go right until you get to the new stairs, grab them for two more treasures, then go back and head up to the new stairs, this time some Money awaits you. Go back in again and head left where there will be the last stairs with the last item, taken everything go right to the end to take the stairs of the fifth level.
Go right and get the Sleep Tome, then down and left to find the final door. Heal yourself, save and start the battle with the Boss.
BOSS: LARGE HORN (HP: 1140)
Since the whole Dungeon is not at your level, even the Boss will be weak and in a couple of turns you will eliminate him without problems.
Open the chest and get the Black Mask then go to the teleporter and exit the island.
Chapter 6: The Tower
Your next objective is in the same area as Mysidia, just look on the map and see the bottom point of the Continent, you can't go wrong go there and enter the Dungeon.
DUNGEON 11: MYSIDIA CAVE
Stop joking, it's time to get damn serious, this Dungeon is very hard and if you don't have good magic I think you won't make it.
Go left and up the stairs, then left and up to find a Golden Harpoon. Take the passage in the middle and go right, go down the stairs and you can have another item. Now go up to the highest stairs and then advance down to the end, here you will find a statue (quite alive) that is the same as you, the only way to pass is to use the Black Mask, the image is gone Enter the door and take the stairs to the next level.
To find the exit of the level just go down, but first head up and take The Staff of Power. Now go to the right and you will see a chest, the problem is that there is no entrance to take it, do not worry, go down and examine the wall of the room, sooner or later you will encounter an invisible opening that will let you through! Open the chest and grab the Fire Lance, then exit and head to the end of the level (bottom left).
New level and new treasures, go to the upper right corner and then make the narrow passage to the corner, you will find a chest with a precious Ice Arch. Now from where you are go down always to the right until you find an Orc Killer Sword, done this you just have to go up and pass the first door which is a trap by slipping into the second that leads to the next level.
Linear level, follow the path until you get to the stairs, go up until you get to the chest with a potion. For three other useful items go left and enter the door, you will receive a Phoenix, a Bell of Silence and a Golden Needle. The door that will lead you to the stairs and to the next floor is the one in the lower right corner.
Advance and immediately you can get a HP Absorb Tome guarded by a monster, go down until you find the stairs, take the narrow road to the right and you will find a room without doors, as before go to the left wall and search in the middle, you can pass and as a reward you will get 5 treasures: Potion, Ether (x2), Super Potion and Tome Mini. Go back and take the road at the bottom left, continue on your path until you find the door you needed, inside you will find three treasures but only one is the one that will allow you to advance in the adventure (The Crystal Staff).
Now go to rest, heal yourself and sell all the extra equipment you have and you don't need, after that go to Mysidia and continue upwards until you find a kind of unclosed ring with an island inside, STOP !! !. Do not go inside the ring if you have not removed all of Leila's equipment first, in fact she will soon leave the group and you will have to do without her (but at least keep the items). Enter the ring and as if by magic you will be trapped at the bottom of the sea. (poetic but the truth is there will be a new Dungeon)
DUNGEON 12: UNDER THE SEA
It will be pretty easy and not very fun in my opinion, advance from where you are being careful of the lousy sewage that is on the ground, if you touch it you will lose 1HP per step, avoiding random clashes.
Continue and along the way take the two objects that you will see, you can not miss them, exit the level.
No monsters in this place, advance until you find a new character standing in your way, show him the Crystal Staff and after a short discussion he will join you, go up to find a Power Bracelet and then again in the upper left corner to exit.
New level and new Boss approaching, walk up to retrieve the Sword Gaia, an excellent sword for your new friend, below another chest with a built-in monster that will earn you a Diamond Shield. Advance along the path to the left until you see your coveted ship, only there will be a hideous monster in front of you ready to fight. Heal yourself, save and take him out!
BOSS : VERME GIGANTE (HP : 2000)
Beware of the Boss, because all the danger of this Dungeon will be concentrated here, the beast's attacks are fast and lethal and its HP will not allow you to knock it out anytime soon.
No magic against this monster, just the hardest physical attacks you have, if you have Berserk on the party so it will be a continuous and lethal attack.
Once the Boss is fixed, you can regain possession of the ship and get out of this hell. Go to some city to cure yourself and stock up on everything you need, it will be essential because the Dungeon we are about to do is really tough.
As soon as you are ready, go back inside the ring (no problem this time) and use the Crystal Staff on the entrance to the door to enter the new Dungeon.
DUNGEON 13: MYSIDIA TOWER
Ten levels of pure nastiness for this tower and bosses galore, I hope you have a mage capable of great healing and good MP because you really need it. If you want to both get to the top and take the treasures of the tower I think you better after each Boss teleport out, heal yourself and start over. I have warned you. Let's go.
Going straight up you will find the stairs to the next level but you are like me and you will want to take the 4 chests that are here. Go to the upper left corner For a stick, another Staff you will find it in the upper right corner and in the middle of the path to the right an Ether, in the middle and upwards you will find the fourth and only important object: Vest White.
Now you can take the stairs and start.
You are in the realm of fire it seems, at the first fork go to the top right to find a room with two items: A Flame Arch and a Flame Lance. Return to the fork and take the road at the bottom left, at the end of the path another intersection, go up for a Fire Shield and down for the next stairs.
You will find yourself in front of four doors and a pile of lava, the right one is on the far left, but you will leave it alone for at least a while. Go right and grab a Sword of Fire, now so you can go through the right door and make it all the way through (lots of monsters here), go left of the stairs for a Fire Helm and right for a Fire Armor. After collecting, go to the middle door to meet the first Boss.
BOSS: GIANT OF FIRE (HP: 1800)
Equip yourself with the Orc Killer Sword and the Blood Sword to face this and the other Giants of the Dungeon, the only thing to do against these giants is to attack relentlessly, taking advantage of the fact that the Boss can only hit one of you in turn (but they are blows you are warned ), highly recommended is the Frost Magic which takes away a lot of HP from the monster.
After the fight with the Boss you can continue to the fourth floor, go to the upper left to get an Ice Shield then go up the stairs to the fifth floor and continue the path until you find a chest with an Ice Lance, now you can return on the fourth floor. Now follow the path down, grab the Ice Gloves and Ice Armor when you see them and then go up the right stairs to the fifth level.
One-way path with a single small detour to the right to take the Ice Sword, at the end a door with the next Boss behind it.
BOSS: ICE GIANT (HP: 2000)
Use the same giant technique as before, just replace the Ice Magic with Fire Magic. A little more HP, a little stronger but otherwise it is the same.
At this point in the Tower you will probably run out of Potions and HP and now things are starting to get even more complicated, a return to the city and an immediate cure would be appropriate, if instead you feel like continuing, let's go.
Go right and get the Elixir, then go down and head to the lower left corner, you will find the Magic Staff, a very powerful item. Go through the door a little further down to find the stairs that will lead you to the seventh floor.
Head right to find some Silk and then up right for another Item. To the left at the top for a Unicorn Horn and continuing you will find the door for a last formidable Boss, heal yourselves saved and get ready for the tough fight.
BOSS: THUNDER GIANT (HP: 2500)
This giant is completely different from the others, it has an incredible strength and an absurd defense, with my sword and with Berserk activated I could not exceed the 200HP removed !!! It can attack both physically (and they are pains) and with the Thunder Magic (it hurts a little less).
The only technique I can recommend is to immediately resurrect the companion who will inevitably die in the turn and with the others try to take away the HP, use all the Shield spells you have against the Thunder and hope to have enough MP until the end of the battle. Good luck you need it.
Another round another level, from which is close. Go up and enter the rightmost door of all to find a Flame Tome, exit and take the door immediately to your left to find the stairs to the ninth floor.
First item on the top floor, then head down left for a Cross (in the corner). Go back up and you will see another chest in the corner, inside there is a Black Robe, an exceptional armor but it is guarded by a White Dragon with 2500HP. Heal and save, facing the monster will not be easy but much simpler than the Thunder Giant so you will make it. Continue along the path until you find doors in front of you, take the second door from the left and you will find someone you know, it is Minwu the White Sorcerer.
Talk to him and after two little words he will shoot a super wave of energy to break the barrier that protects the Ultimate Tome, unfortunately the effort is too great and your friend will die. Enter the room and in the middle you will see the light indicating the Tome Ultima, but before you go you will have to go around the other four pedestals to gain extra strength for your heroes, at the end take the Tome Ultima and get out of here.
Chapter 7: The Emperor's Defeat
Use your ship to get to the coasts of Altair and as soon as you disembark you will notice that the city has been destroyed, go to Fynn and talk to the princess, she will tell you that a tornado has destroyed many cities and now threatens Fynn. Learn the word Cyclone and then talk to her about the Wyvern and you will have other interesting news.
Exit the hall and go to the first floor, take the corridor to the left and down to find some stairs, arrived at the third floor go into the narrow passage on the left and you will enter a room. Here you will find the mirror that Hilda spoke to you, use the Pendant on the Mirror and you will see the Wyvern Egg hatch, then after a scene the cute animal will join your group (no you cannot use it).
Go back to the city to heal yourself and sell the superfluous items then head to Pavel's house and ask him about the Cyclone and he will be willing to help you, go against the wall where his bed is and you will find a secret room with every delicacy: Ninja Suit, Gloves from Thief, Elixir, Silver Armor, Ruby Armor, Gold Armor and Gold Harpoon. Give thanks and leave.
Exit the city and you will see the Cyclone at the top, go to meet it, press the action button and the Wyvern will take you directly to the next Dungeon.
DUNGEON 14: CYCLONE
My advice for this Dungeon is to raise the Ultima magic to high levels in order to simplify your life, but if you haven't done it don't worry, without Ultima the game I finished it. same :)
In this first floor there are two stairs, take the first (on the right) and you will arrive at the second floor, here you will find a Trinciante Sword, continue in your path and you will find the stairs on the third floor, here you will find electrical things that will make you lose some HP if trampled, pass them and you will come to another great weapon, the Poison Ax.
Go back to the first floor and take the stairs to the left to continue the climb.
Second floor useless because it will take you directly to the third. Go up and take the first stairs you see, you will arrive at the fourth floor and upwards you will find two excellent items: Diamond Gloves on the left and Diamond Helm on the right. Go back and take the other stairs to get to the fourth floor.
Go right to the fork, go left and go up the stairs, in the new floor avoid the electrified things and go down to find a chest with a Defender and another chest with a Diamond Armor (there are monsters at guard of this chest, beware). Go back and at the fork take the road to the right up the stairs to the fifth floor.
Nothing in this level, advance to the stairs and go to the sixth.
Advance right into the room and then head up and you will see a chest on the right, don't open it !!! Stop and heal, save and get ready to face a very dangerous Green Dragon, 3000HP of pure power! After eliminating it, you can take the reward, a Wind Flute.
Now take the stairs nearby and get ready for the big fight.
Seventh and last floor, go to the throne, heal yourself to the maximum and save your game, you will have to face the Emperor for the last decisive battle. Is this the end of this wonderful game?
BOSS : IMPERATORE (HP : 1290)
Along with the shady figure there will be soldiers, eliminate them first by focusing on them one at a time and then go against the Boss. Use the Blood Sword to take out everyone, it's a very easy battle and it won't take you more than 5-6 turns. The Boss wasn't exactly strong.
After the Emperor's death the Wyvern will automatically return you to Fynn.
In Fynn there will be a big party in your honor and everyone will congratulate you on the success of the enterprise and the salvation of the world, to spoil the party will be a guard who will give the alarm and warn everyone that Leon has proclaimed himself new Emperor. New troubles and adventures await you Heroes! (Did you really think you were done? Deluded).
Talk to the princess and she will tell you that you have to go to the Castle of Palamecia but she will not know how to overcome the mountains, talk to Leila now and you will know that Pavel is the key to continue the game. Go out and go to Pavel's house, talk to him but he won't tell you anything, luckily inside the house is Cid who, before dying, will give you his Airship !!! Poor him and lucky you.
Exit Fynn and use the ship to go to Poft, take Cid's Airship and head to Palamecia Castle (where the Colosseum was, remember?), Land on the roof of the castle and get ready for battle.
DUNGEON 15: PALAMECIA CASTLE
You will start this dungeon from the top, seventh floor to be precise. Start by taking the only path possible and you will end up in a room, go to the door and a trap will make you fall on the first floor, no you could not avoid it so don't blame me, come on you have to redo the road again.
First level with treasures, advance down to the first treasure: Diamond Armor. Go back up and turn right, pass the first passage down and instead take the second up to the stairs that will take you to the second floor, take everything and go back to the first. Go to the lower left corner and get the Garlic, a little further on there will be the stairs to the next level. Go down and take the Ether, then follow the path that will take you straight to the third floor, during the race stop and take the Shield from the chest.
Start in the center of the room, go up and then left and down to end up in the lower left corner and get the Thunder Spear.
Go back and head down to find the stairs to the next floor.
Another round another floor, go down and right, take the two objects from the chests and then look down to the left and you will see a door, to get there take the path to the left and at the crossroads go up to reach it, enter and you will receive three items, one is essential: Magic Staff, Witch Staff and Staff of Healing (this will be indispensable from here on out). Go back to the first fork and take the road on the right to get to the fifth floor.
Immediately outside the door you will find a crossroads, on the left a staircase to the sixth floor where you will find a chest with an incredible Sword inside: The Sunblade (watch out for the monsters on guard). Advance the floor and you will find the stairs to the seventh floor, go up and you will find a room with three Elixirs. Go back and take the right stairs to the sixth floor.
No obstacles on the sixth floor, go ahead and you will arrive at the seventh.
Another useless floor, follow the Chief and jump to the eighth floor.
Here we are at the final floor, go ahead but before climbing the stairs in the center go left and then up to find two chests containing the Wind Flute and the Fire of Hell. Go back and go talk to Leon, remember before you talk to him take everything away from Ricard, in fact he is about to leave you and it will not be a good goodbye.
In fact, the Emperor will reappear and will try to kill everyone, only Ricard's sacrifice will save your group that will be able to return to Fynn (along with Leon).
Talk to the princess and after the speech Leon will join you and you can go and heal yourself, looking forward to the last chapter of the game.
Chapter 8: Grand Finale
Before starting the chapter and moving forward one important thing. I understand the urge to grapple with the final Boss, do the last terrible Dungeons and then rest but there is one important thing you need to know. Leon has joined the group and is a ball and chain, if you don't train and raise his HP he will die in every fight and it will take you longer to heal him than to fight. Go to places with the nastiest monsters (outside the Colosseum for example) and gain experience, only then can you win.
Okay let's go ahead, before you merge into the Dungeon there is a little thing you need to do, go and get Excalibur, the most powerful sword in the whole game.
Go to the Castle of Deist and talk to the two who were outside the Wyvern room, you will receive the most famous and terrible sword of the whole game, the mythical Excalibur (okay I got carried away by the enthusiasm).
Go back to Fynn Castle and talk to Hilda, she will tell you about Jade's Passage, memorize the word and ask Leila and Gordon about the place, it is located near Mysidia.
Exit and take the ship, go to the Continent of Mysidia and then to the upper right corner, do you see that the two continents are attacked by a passage to the S? The place is located on the Continent side of Mysidia. Go inside and the final adventure will begin.
DUNGEON 16: JADE PASSAGE
Hideous monsters, very powerful etc etc (usual things in short), only one advice, if you use the Staff of Healing against your companions you will cure them avoiding wasting precious MPs. Let's start.
Follow the stream to the right until you find a small niche with a treasure inside, a Diamond Mace for you. In the lower left corner you will find a Hellfire, once the treasures are finished you just have to fight until the lower right corner to find the stairs of the next level.
Follow the passage first up and then down, jump over the doors and get the Hellfire in the upper left corner and in Notus in the center of the passage.
The last chest is at the top but before opening it, stop and heal yourself, save and get ready for a monster that is practically a Boss, a 3500HP Blue Dragon and an incredible attack force! The prize, however, is essential so get busy and defeat it. After killing him, grab the super weapon and then follow the path right and up to exit the level.
There is only one way so no problem, do not go through the doors and continue, watch out for the waterfalls that will take away precious HP, on the way stop and take the weapon inside the chest, a 5000HP King Behemoth will come out ready to make you the skin! Do not worry, all smoke and no roast this monster, the HP are many but they will go down quickly because its defenses are very weak, if you have defeated the Blue Dragon this monster cannot scare you. At the end of the fight, take the Runic Ax and then you will finish the path in front of 3 doors, take the one on the far right to level up.
As soon as you arrive, go up and get the Wolf Fangs, continue up until you find a door, enter and inside you will find three other items: Spear of Healing, Aegis Shield and Dragon Armor. Exit and head to the upper right corner to find the final chest, there will be another Dragon waiting for you and this time it will be the terrible Red Dragon, 5000HP and so much power to blow you away without any problems. Use all the strongest weapons and all the cold spells you have, after his departure you can take possession of the Yoichi Bow, the most powerful in the game.
Go up and you will get to the next level.
A narrow passage with chests on the way, you can't miss a single one, you'll literally bump into it. Take: Super Potion, Protective Ring and an Elixir. Exit the door on the right.
Here we are finally at the portal that you will have to take to finish the last Dungeon of the game.
DUNGEON 17 : INFERNO
This would be the best time to go back, rest, sell unnecessary things and buy whatever you can. The game is about to end and the random encounters here are terribly deadly, you could easily run into a Red Dragon by chance.
First floor without surprises, just go forward to the stairs that will take you to the second level of the Dungeon, ah you will begin to get to know all the monsters that populate this terrible Final Dungeon.
Climb the stairs and walk up until you find an Ether, go down the other stairs and follow the path down to the teleporter.
Third level, go down and get the Elixir. Go back and take the path that goes up to the right. Follow the path that takes you down to the right and you will find the portal to the next floor.
In this fourth floor you will have in front of you 4 doors to open and you will have to enter all of them if you want to defeat the final Boss, are you ready? Let's start with the leftmost of all.
Follow the path with the arches until you find on the right of the stairs that you will take to end up in a room with a chest, beat the monster guarding the chest and take possession of the mythical Genji Gloves. Now go under the arch and go through 4 arches to find a statue, now examine the wall to the right of the statue and you will find a secret room with a Masamune inside. Now go back in front of the 4 doors. We are at the second door from the left, follow the path until you reach the chest, heal yourself and save because you will see Tiarat a strong monster who, however, cannot make you very afraid now.
