You can now send 4K photos using Facebook Messenger. Facebook is increasing the maximum resolution supported by Messenger, from 2K to 4K, which means you can now send and receive full-resolution photos without Messenger compressing them.

Facebook announced in a statement that "people can send and receive photos in Messenger at 4K resolution - or up to 4.096 x 4.096 pixels per image - supporting many high-quality smartphones."
So if you want to easily share your photos in high resolution and therefore also in 4k without necessarily attaching them to an email, or as a file in the various messaging apps, thanks to Facebook Messenger, all you have to do is share them on it to do not lose the quality of your photo.
As more and more phones start shooting in 4K, the ability to share photos with friends in high resolution is now possible via facebook.
